The photo itself doesn't say anything. The combination of Ellen being emplyed by JC Penney and the "freedom of expression" logo are what gets to some people. I just hate clothing adds.

Honestly I would never have even thought of this as homosexual. I see three women and their daughters or granddaughters, and that's appropriate for Mother's Day. Does there have to be a man in the picture to make it appropriate? Geez. People are too sensitive.

Makes sense to me. Two mothers on mother's day, plus a grandma? What's weird about that?

I don't know if it's the best way to sell clothes, though. I honestly didn't even notice what they were wearing because I was staring at a picture I don't usually see in catologues. Even though I have nothing against gay couples, it was just unexpected. But, maybe it's a smart strategy. Makes a statement.

What a terrible way to sell clothing. How dare they use a lovely looking family looking lovely, fashionable, and happy. I, for one, am glad that One Million Mom has called JC Penney out for this ad. I prefer seeing ads of miserable people looking miserable. That's why I shop at American Apparel.

I mean...what's next? You'll tell me they're NAKED under those clothes???
