I'm no atheist, more agnostic. I do think there are powers / dimensions we are not fully aware of but I find it very hard to accept the bible. I feel full fledged atheists are in the same class as full fledged bible thumpers. There's more to this life then we can comprehend with our present knowledge and we may never know it in this dimension.

And the numbers are growing every single day. Simply because the American People are sick and tired of the fraud being perpetrated upon them.

People have the right, as they should, to choose a religion, if any. There are several religions and they have lasted for quite a while. I highly doubt that they will stop entirely, and if they do, they do. It wouldn't necessarily be the end of the world

In a lot of countries really. Atheism and agnoticism (if that's a word) is definitely the growing belief.... or none belief if I should say.

well of course Americans are abandoning Religion but since you go by Atheists wouldn't the better question "are Americans abandoning the thought of God?"

if it was about abandoning religion then the "spiritual but not religious", agnostics, and other beliefs that take part of not being dealt with religion needs to be accounted for

You are correct. There are many more Americans who have turned their backs on religion but don't quite call themselves Atheists. The total % of non religious is more like 15%.

I think there's a lot of people turned off by organized religion and some are easily swayed into believing any alternative. Some people follow others and are easily swayed but when a blind man follows another blind man they both fall off a cliff.
My mother was a atheist but, as young as 4 years old I can remember talking to God. A God that no one had ever told me about.

Where I live they opened a place called the "Cathedral Lounge"...nice place. When I was in Europe some were being turned into condos. Yes, I would say it's not just "Americans". I have no problems with believers, I just wish they'd get along and "do good", without trying to force ME, (Or my country), to live under THEIR rules!

That's a big stretch placing unprovable mythology by Christians and others in the same category as Atheists who refute mythology, God and the Bible. There is absolutely more out there then we know or will probably ever know. We Atheists do not have a problem saying we do not know, unlike others. We have theories that are always needing adjustment as new data is discovered. We are flexible. Christians and other religionuts are not.

Well that's your opinion and I won't try to refute it but a good example is here on SH. I find that strong mined atheists come across like they have the real truth and anyone else who doesn't believe as atheists do are stupid or uninformed, I see the same with diehard bible thumpers ! I happen to believe there is more to life that we yet don't understand or can explain and fall into the interpretation of a agnostic.I don't play this silly game of trying to make either side feel they are wrong and they need to believe as I do or they are ignorant. If I were you I would probably tone done such statements as you made below, referring to people who choose to believe the bible as mythology and your reference to fairy tails, when it may actually tie in with things were not fully aware of yet, and may never be ! Don't be too damn sure you know all the real answers when you make yourself look foolish with such comments. Hope you have a good weekend Wally, I'm glad we agree in most other areas. Later ... Risk

Brain washing done over thousands of years is difficult to abandon. Frankly, I am amazed that so few of us have taken the time to analyze why people need to placate themselves with mythology and fairy tales that have no basis in fact. It is the same rationale that Americans continue to use on themselves that convinces them that America is the greatest country on the planet. We could have been and maybe we were at one time but that is another truth that one needs to investigate for themselves.

Probably the same reason why some people need to placate themselves with A hidden conspiracy behind every door. Like 9/11 for example. To MANY people, EVERYTHING is a big conspiracy..

With ALL the evidence supporting a government conspiracy and complicit activity concerning 911 with the fact that you apparently have not researched it yourself is the reason you think everything is a conspiracy. What is it? Are you just too apathetic or lazy?

I don't think everything is a conspiracy. It wasn't me I was talking about. I looked into the whole 911 conspiracy stuff. I saw "loose change"... you know.... the movie that some high schoolers made? I also watched others tear that whole story apart piece by piece, that and a whole lot more... Its safe to say I've done my research on the subject. And BTW why are you so offended right now? Whats with the name calling ect? You act as though you have ROCK SOLID evidence that this was a government conspiracy and anyone who believes otherwise is a complete fool because you 100% know the WHOLE TRUTH. NOTHING can escape Wally I guess.. Don't get me wrong either. I agree with A LOT of what you have to say.. Just not in this area.
  • Wally-M... derek 2012/08/17 23:58:38

When you look at all the data, not just the crash sites, such as Cheney just happened to be in charge of NORAD and war games just happened to be going on and Cheney ordered intercept aircraft to stand down and Saudi pilots just happened to get lessons on how to fly but not how to land, etc., etc., etc., and the list goes on and on, that you still refuse to admit that our government participated? If you wish to not face reality knowing full well that our government has been involved in other false flags so they could get the results they wanted from creating a situation, then I guess you will be forever in the dark.

No one knows the entire truth except the psychopaths who manufacture it. But I have my eyes WIDE open with no rose colored glasses on.

    Name calling?

Are you old enough to remember the previous attack on the twin towers BEFORE 9-11? Do you think THAT was our Government as well, or do you think it was more than likely Muslim terrorists? It is my contention that the latter is more accurate. IF our Govt WANTED them down the first time -- they WOULD HAVE been down long before 911 IMHO. They certainly wouldn't have sent some numb nuts down there in a van packed with firecrackers and oxygen tanks... I as well have my eyes wide open Wally, I definitely keep an open mind where these things are concerned but until I'm shown indisputable proof of such a conspiracy I'll keep my accusations to myself. Also, don't you find it AT ALL interesting that not ONE person, of the 1000's of people it would have taken to pull off such a huge conspiracy has yet come forward? I don't wanna go through each and every detail of the 911 thing piece by piece as I have already done that several times. You and I have obviously arrived at different conclusions in this matter but I don't think that makes either of us an idiot, lazy, or apathetic. The truth is neither of us has the indisputable 100% factual truth to back us up. I'll certainly let you know if I ever do get it though, and PLEASE feel free to do the same.

" Also, don't you find it AT ALL interesting that not ONE person, of the 1000's of people it would have taken to pull off such a huge conspiracy has yet come forward"? It's called compartmentalizing. Only the few at the top and hand chosen FBI and CIA knew what was coming down. The underlings did as they always do-follow directions with no idea of the diabolical plan. Same with Oklahoma bombing.

Of course I remember the first Trade tower bombing. And I was a dumb sheep then and actually have not looked into it as much as the more recent false flags.

I am not afraid to express my contempt for this corrupt government. As far as 911 goes I am no expert on any of it. But I have watched videos, seen interviews, and read articles by experts that prove to me beyond a shadow of doubt that it was an inside job. I know there are experts for the government (of course there are) who will dispute the findings. The point is the government will never release all the files and data so we are left to make up our own minds.

As collapse proceeds I think we will all be shocked by what is revealed that has been done in our name.
