Unless an individual discredits you, calls you names, or specifically targets an individual. I say move on with one's belief system and quit harassing other individuals with them ...

"Pushy" behavior isn't the problem. The problem is when people aren't honest with themselves, or with other people, about where their beliefs lead, or what the evidence does or does not support.

Over 90% of the people I encounter on this website are vitriolic lunatics who cannot have a constructive, informed discussion with me- they just abuse me witha barrage of incoherent, nonsensical bile

I know facebook is a bad place for fat to hit the fire. Sure in public it is no different, I will be who I will be. If someone catches butthutitis, then forget them because they probably are not living life to their fullest and experimenting along the way.

I agree with you there are folks here with some real personality disorders that could use some anger management classes and a few remedial courses in manners.

People have always and will always shove their beliefs down your throat even though you don't want to hear or see it. It's really annoying, but I guess respecting other people's opinions doesn't matter on a site like this.

I think people who don't know jack all about science should stop going to the creationist museum and actually learn something for a change. pisses me off that there are actually people who think a perfect explanation to everything is "god did it". They can't explain how but that suits them just fine.

belief is all well and good but people should keep it to themselves and out of places where there are actual facts, not fantastical claims with no support other than negative arguments and the idea that belief is enough for it to be fact.

No doubt people give passion a bad name the way they come across - I hate admitting i've been too assertive (i'm going to use that kind word, lol) and it's not a good trait but, mostly, i think it's just fleeting passion about a hot issue and not much of a hint the person's like that most of the time.

It's a natural human tendency to think that your way of thinking is the right way of thinking. Since you are the center of your own universe, it is really the only reasonable conclusion. Some are more flexible in their thinking than others, but no matter where you are, you will always think you are right. On occasion when you have some new revelation and your perspective shifts you realize that you WERE wrong, but now... you're right.

Since you are always right, when someone disagrees with you (unless they are extremely convincing and your perspective shifts), they are wrong. Some people deal with people who are wrong better than others, some people can't seem to deal with them at all.

I think that's everyone to be honest. On this site you have to expect it because it is an opinion website. Some people will be more aggressive trying to get their point across while others will just state their opinion and move on.

But they have an issue telling the difference from truth and opinion and they sure have a hell of a hard time accepting others opinions and they tend to insult you. Just saying.
