She's going for the gold, but she hasn't gone all the way. Olympic track star Lolo Jones, 29, says she's saving herself for marriage, calling it the "hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life." In fact, the American athlete confesses on HBO’s "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" that saving herself is "harder than training for the Olympics." Wow.

"I’ve been tempted," she admits. "I’ve had guys tell me, ‘You know, if you have sex, it will help you run faster. It’s just something, a gift I want to give to my husband. But, please understand, this journey has been hard." But that doesn't mean she isn't looking for love -- on the Internet. "This is what people do when they’re 29, single, in a house by themselves with a dog," she reveals.

Lolo Jones was favored to win the 100-meter hurdles at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, but she tripped and finished seventh. She will compete at this summer’s Games in London. Do you think what Jones is doing -- or not doing -- is admirable or silly?

Although I marked adnirable, it's neither admirable not silly. It's simply a personal choice based on her personal constitution; and society needs to get out of mode of ridiculing people for being human.

Neither. She made the right choice for her. It's good to wait if you're not ready. Let's not judge other people unnecessarily. Also, I hope that her prospective husband is also a virgin- equality right?

I also don't see why it's a big deal that she's a virgin.

I think it is an admirable decision. but I also think it is a decision that should be kept private. Why advertise your sex life (or lack there of) - it's nobody's business but your own.

wrong. Intimacy between two people has more meaning that most people understand.

In my eyes it's just sex, intimacy and sex are totally different things. We've evolved in a way that sex feels good so that we reproduce, that's strictly why it's there, it feels good because our bodies are designed to want to reproduce to continue our species. Since contraceptives have been introduced you can no longer look at it in the reproductive way, since it now just feels good and you can pretty much cheat your way out of the reproductive part.

So, yeah, everyone's got their opinion on the subject and I'm sure tons of people disagree with me, but idc.

I find it admirable that she can stick to it, but it depresses me too. She's heaping so many expectations onto this truly small event... Odds on she will be disappointed in the end, and she'll have missed out on a lot.

It's not about the wedding night. This will likely exceed her expectations and she will be glad she waited. As a premier athlete she doesn't have to worry about STD's or pregnancy, she can just focus on her goals and her relationship. I think it is a smart move overall.

Well, I respect her for sticking to her convictions, but the whole "gift for my husband" thing is silly. A husband should love you for who you are, not what you haven't done. It's 2012, being a virgin won't give your father more money when you get married. Plus, does she expect her future husband to be a virgin? If so, she better be into professional WOW players who live in their mom's basement. If not, then it doesn't seem quite fair. Of course it's her personal choice, but that's just my opinion.
