She's going for the gold, but she hasn't gone all the way. Olympic track star Lolo Jones, 29, says she's saving herself for marriage, calling it the "hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life." In fact, the American athlete confesses on HBO’s "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" that saving herself is "harder than training for the Olympics." Wow.

"I’ve been tempted," she admits. "I’ve had guys tell me, ‘You know, if you have sex, it will help you run faster. It’s just something, a gift I want to give to my husband. But, please understand, this journey has been hard." But that doesn't mean she isn't looking for love -- on the Internet. "This is what people do when they’re 29, single, in a house by themselves with a dog," she reveals.

Lolo Jones was favored to win the 100-meter hurdles at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, but she tripped and finished seventh. She will compete at this summer’s Games in London. Do you think what Jones is doing -- or not doing -- is admirable or silly?

Anyone calling yo a loser are just jealous they DIDN'T wait til marriage.

It is not an object you can give away, it is a sign that you thought enough of yourself to WAIT for a person you loved, completely.

There's nothing special about saving your virginity for marriage. It won't make you a better person or smarter or more successful. As long as you practice safe sex it's okay. But waiting for marriage can be a result of personal beliefs and can be meaningful to some people, so I wouldn't call it "silly.". But it's not exactly admirable either.

I find it very admirable and worthy of praise, this young Woman has a strong moral streak about her, for a young woman such as her to tell today's "If it feels good do it" crowd, I am my own person and will not bow to the pressure of society is undoubtedly remarkable.

She will not become a statistic that many others are now. For those of you who think this is silly, she will undoubtedly find true love not a continuous string of one night stands from some guy looking for a place to dump his essence.

I just don't see the point in "saving yourself" for marriage anymore. For one thing, the man is always supposed to be more experienced and the bride is supposed to be virginal. That's ridiculous. Two virgins on a honeymoon would be my nightmare come true.

I don't get that explanation. So you have an awkward wedding night....that isn't a big deal and it isn't about the wedding night. A good couple will discuss and grow in their sexuality together. I think waiting for marriage is more about what it does for your relationship, not the act itself.

Again this is one of those questions that needs a middle answer. It's neither admirable nor silly. She's a grown accomplished woman who is making a decision she believes to be in her best interest. As long as she doesn't look down her nose at anyone else, good for her.

What I think is ridiculous though are those 18/19 year olds who are shamed into believing this way and then jumping into marriage to have sex.

Animals have urges they don't resist...whats your point?....That you respond to your animal urges, they control you instead of you controlling your urges?...She is doing as she wishes, thats the point....Unlike most people she has discipline in all areas of her life...Its easy to give in and its no more than indulging in recreational drugs...Discipline is more admirable...

Cause she knows its not right for her.....and she will LOSE nothing by abstaning, other than maybe STD's and unwanted pregnancies.... If all she wants is a moment of passion no REAL substance ,She can read a book and take a bath to get a wet bottom and come out MUCH cleaner...
