    Lowering the flag to half staff is meant to honor people who have been of great service to their nation or to their state. Ms. Houston served her state well as an ambassador of good will.

    Absolutely.

    What really pisses me off is that when Ronnie James Dio died, who was a far greater talent AND was not a junkie, he hardly got a mention on the major networks.

    Are we going to have a National Day for her too? I liked Whitney Houston and nothing against her but yes the political token recognitions of this or that are self serving and they are getting rediculous-- by both R's and D's.
