Nicole Richie Says 'Everybody Should Wear Headpieces': Are They Stylish or Stupid?

Nicole Richie is one of Hollywood's most imitated fashionistas, which is why it makes headlines when she declares that a new trend is in the works. "I think that everybody should wear headpieces!" Richie recently told InStyle. "If you’re spending a ton of money on shoes, then you should put just as much effort into dressing up your head."

The "Fashion Star" mentor is known for her ornate hair jewelry. "Pick the outfit first, then the headpiece," she advises. We're not so sure about wearing headpieces on a regular basis (or at all, for that matter), but Nicole does have some good fashion tips. "'I shop at more expensive stores and I also shop at thrift stores. Most of my vintage T-shirts and peasant dresses, they're like $10," she has said. She also told People: ''Fashion is a form of self-expression and it's really about how an article of clothing makes you feel." We couldn't agree more!

If you like them, wear them! If you don't, then don't wear them. Don't wear or not wear things just because a celebrity tells you. Style should be what you like, not what everyone tells you to like.

Wouldn't look that good on me, but it depends on the headpiece. if it was something like this: then ya I would wear that because it's super pretty. But if it were something like this:
then no, I would not wear that because I would look like a total derp

Let me clarify. Headbands are not stupid, themselves. They look especially cute on my 4 year old little girl. But, they are not a great "fashion" piece, for adults.

That is awesome. However, it is NOT a major fashion statement or trend, waiting to happen again. Also, not everyone can pull it off. Remember, "cute" isn't a major fashion trend.
