If that is your only concern... considering that a ref should know what he's (or SHE) is getting into... then I would say let them if they are still willing to do the job.

I see nothing wrong with a female Ref. Would hate to see a smaller female Ref get plowed over by a 350 lb Lineman though

Why wouldn't she be? Lots of women watch football, myself included. As long as she knows the rules and doesn't show favoritism to one team or the other, she'll do just as well as the male refs.

I think most of us agree that they are qualified to do the job but most of us think about their safety on the field and getting injured.How is your view on that possibility?

Yeah, she could possibly get injured, considering the size of the men she'll be surrounded with, but she knows that. If she took the job, then she knows the risks. Lots of women work in dangerous professions because it's what they want to do.

Yes, and then so many men stopped holding up their end of the bargain that we had to do both jobs. How unfortunate for the knuckledraggers out there that women decided to stop letting themselves be used as punching bags.

The average New Yorker (city) does not even own a car.

New York has a few real men but they usually work in uniform and commute to the suburbs after their shift.

It's virtually impossible to own a car in Manhattan. Nowhere to park onthe street and monthly garage is more than I pay in maintenance for my co-op. Besides, there's all sorts of transportation wherever you turn.

I must agree with you on the real men of New York City. I tip my hat to them every day for keeping us safe.

If they lose the game, they can always feel better by having group sex in the locker rooms with the referee. Have a separate locker room for the gay players to go to.
