I have no problem to admitting being a male, or admitting that I am sure that many women know the game far better than I do. However, I still think that it is a crappy idea....

Certainly an opinion I can accept. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I don't have to. I can accept any opinion as long as it isn't backed in some concocted make believe land.

I don't actually know, I can't see where it would be a problem. Obviously, however, someone much higher in the NFL food chain thinks it doesn't matter, so we'll wait and see.

No actually the refs are not as in charge as you think.

Their power is based largely on the willingness of players to listen to them.

Women command less respect especially among large athletes.

If the NHL already had a female player, why not have the NFL a female Ref. Besides, there are already amateur teams of all female football anyways

The players have been conditioned via 16 years of women-as-authority-figures via the educational system. Plus, I suspect that the NFL is smart enough to chose an extremely capable female in this ground-breaking situation. Guys in general respond well to a woman who can hold her own in a man's world. Plus football players are just very big little boys, and will respond fairly well to a mommy figure...

you must have some real issues with women. are you totally against women??? what are you the type who want women barefoot and pregnant?? staying home?? this isnt the first time ive read your degrading comments about women. someone must have hurt you really bad. please dont be so down on all women we are not all bad. there may be afew rotten apples but that doesnt spoil the whole bunch.
