New Zealand: A Safer Haven for Liberty?

~ The Rebel ~ 2012/06/28 16:50:43

If you are looking for a place to move to if the crack-down comes, consider New Zealand.

Good weather: check.

English: check.

Common law: check.

Non-cooperation with the FBI: check.

The New Zealand High Court has issued a ruling. The police violated the rights of an American living in New Zealand when it cooperated with the FBI in raiding his home, confiscating his computers, and making a copy for the FBI.

The police have had their knuckles rapped. It is unlikely that they will make this mistake again. That’s good news for Americans living in New Zealand.

Coming from New Zealand, i'd have to say its just like every other country.

You've got your good aspects and your bad aspects.

I lived and worked in NZ for two years in the early 80's. Their health care is run by 3rd world doctors and I was in the 60% tax bracket earning only $30,000 per year. It is a beautiful country but the food sucks.

Thanks Much for the info. Is the food sucky only if you eat out or can you buy decent produce, etc at the store to make a decent meal?

I should have said it is NZ cooks and not the food, veggies, venison, lamb and much more are plentiful and cooked properly delicious but somehow everyone seems to destroy a good steak. I remember going to a Mexican restaurant in Auckland and thinking I'm not in San Diego anymore, the food was unrecognizable.
