There's a new trend buzzing around in Wedding Land -- and they have to do with sexy, "morning-after" photo shoots. According to New York Daily News, "these intimate photo shoots take place in newlyweds’ bedrooms or even the hotels where they’ve spent their first night together as husband and wife." Types of "morning-after" shots include steamy shower scenes, couples tumbling around in bed sheets half-naked and... well, you get the point.
But raunchiness isn’t the purpose of these sensual photo shoots, says Melissa Squires, who runs "A Girl in Love Photography" in Detroit, Michigan. “The feeling I try to capture is closeness,” Squires said. “That lovely calm and happiness one feels when they realize it’s for real, now they are really husband and wife.”

Brides and grooms — who already often obsessively document their first kiss, first cake slice and first dance — are adding yet another first to their wedding photographer’s list: post-consumate pix.

- mpurkays 2012/09/08 22:11:18RomanticAll these folks on here saying this is raunchy surprise me - probably the same folks who are comfortable kicking back with their spouse eating popcorn and watching nude scenes in movies. So, why not be comfortable with sexy photos of yourself with your spouse? Not everyone is comfortable with their own nudity, but the shots don't have to reveal all. I'm sure the photogtrapher can cater it to your personal taste, and props like bedsheets and shower doors can be used to cover what you don't want photographed. It can be a tasteful and sexy memory for just the two of you. I think it's a perfectly cute idea for those couples who are comfortable with it.reply

- sweetserinity13 2012/08/27 19:52:27RaunchyNeed another choice, if anyone had taken a picture of my husband and I after our wedding night they would have seen two people not used to sleeping beside anyone. Sex was not the issue someone was sleeping beside me and it felt weird.reply

reply - NYCbrit 2012/08/27 13:29:40RaunchyOk, taking these types of photos yourself is one thing. Maybe you're staying somewhere really cool or whatever. But to have a photographer there taking pics? Almost as bad as that "professional holiday/vacations photos" idea where some photog follows you about as you go on holiday.Utter nonsense. I blame Twitter, FB, Instagram, etc.! LoLreply

- Vanessa 2012/08/26 16:42:28Romantic+3Why not? It's cute. They're not taking it while making out they're taking it the morning after. So not necessarily right after doing it as well. As long as they're not naked when the photographer comes in and have ahem... everything cleaned up. When it's like that picture it's not even bad to put it inside of a wedding album. If it's a little... sexier... take it yourself - keep it for yourself.

- Lorelei Lee 2012/08/26 02:10:20RaunchyThat way is raunchy. You can take "morning-after" photos, but in a classier way. With clothes on. The internet and social media sites has made people the most attention whores it is ridiculous. A lot of people don't like to keep certain things private anymore.reply
- Dan 2012/08/26 00:10:23RaunchyNo! I would not want pictures of us the morning after the wedding. It would just be a lot of what happened the night before but with some more little ideas thrown in.reply
- Mz Understood 2012/08/26 00:05:23Raunchy+3"Here's the album of before the wedding, here's the one of the wedding, here's the one for the reception, and this one is the morning after!!! Oh shoot....this one is out of order. This is DURING. Can you believe the camera angles in some of these? He captured everything perfectly! Does my perineum look fat in this picture?"
