The University of Western Ontario conducted a study that found 88% of individuals are guilty of using Facebook to spy on an ex. Veronika Lukacs, who wrote her thesis on the subject told the New York Daily News, “It’s so interesting right now, so different from before this technology existed.” She goes onto say, "once you broke up in the past, it was over.” But now, according to her study, "nearly everyone" uses Facebook to clue themselves in to the lives of their exes.

NYDAILYNEWS.COM reports:
If you think you’re the only one who creeps on Facebook to see what an ex is up to, think again. Nearly everyone — 88% — is guilty of using the social network to spy on someone after a breakup, research from University of Western Ontario finds.

That's pretty creepy. I could probably understand an individual checking up on their ex every once in a while just to see what's going on in their life/how they're doing, but not in a way that's spying. Besides, if just visiting someone's page is considered spying, then everyone is a spy on Facebook.

This happens to everyone, I don't know why sodahead hasn't addressed the issue.

Quick fix, put it back to the old method where you select your answer first, then click confirm or vote, whatever the button was.

I'm sure I would though, if I did. I use facebook anyway to check out what some of my high school classmates are doing, or how stupid my friends' boyfriends actually are.

No. But my both of my exes do. My ex girlfriend changed her name and profile picture on Facebook so I added her on mistake and one of my ex boyfriends tried to friend me. Ignored his ass in a heartbeat.

That right there pretty much highlights the difference between how women typically handle problems and how men typically handle them - in my experience, anyway. The guy was direct and upfront about it, while the girl had to be sneaky and underhanded (and probably caused a lot more mistrust and anger in the end).

Yes let's just say when i found out, she got an angry phone call full of curses in German and English so she could get what I meant. Her sneakiness was actually one of the reasons we broke up.

theyre called your exes for a reason... theyre not supposed to be part of your future. if im ever in a break up no matter how upset i am it happened for a reason and unless theyre interested in getting back together and how severe the issue is ill just move on.
