According to a new survey out of the U.K., approximately one third of people with tattoos, regret ever getting one. Further, the survey went on to report that men were more likely to have regret over a tattoo than women. The survey included 580 responses (53 percent men, 47 percent women) from people ages 16 and older (half of them were older than age 40), who had visible tattoos.

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM reports:
Nearly a third of people with tattoos regret getting one, according to a small new survey out of the United Kingdom. The survey findings, presented at the annual meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists, showed that men were more likely to have tattoo regret than women.

I'm very proud of my tattoo,I got it when I was 16yrs of age and it was illegal at the time.

I saw motorcycles as almost a religion and Harley Davidson were the pick of the crop then and still it seems now...

I don't know about what. What are new clothing trends? In this country the boys an girls are wearing skinny jeans which are really tight fitting blue jeans. That would have never gone over with guy in my day. The hair styles are moving back to what they looked like in the 1970's here. Are hair style changes in Egypt?

people here are very different
some of them like wearing jeans the other prefer shorts because of the raise of temperature ... and i watch a lot of movies ( american ones)
and i think we are similar in many things but the girls not ( because of our religion ) the hair style every one has one :D

i don think the world revolve about USA only ..
it is globalization that mean ( world becomes a small town )
so these things ( hair style and clothes ) everyone has his style ..
for example when C.Ronaldo makes a different hairstyle ..
who loves him do it all over the world ^_^

I had my first tattoo at 18 after thinking about it for about three years. And it's rather big considering it's part of a song and there's quite a few space between lines. My second tattoo was done a year after. It's been 5 and years since I got them and I'm still pretty much in love.

My daughter's name is Sophie (wisdom) so I got an owl perched on a tree branch with her birthday carved in the bark. I think it's awesome and I'm proud as hell to show it off. Of course now she thinks she's a bird and all of her bedroom decor has owls as the theme.

Not that these poll results are exactly scientific or important by any means but if you don't have a tattoo, don't answer. Everyone I've seen answer "no" so far doesn't have a tattoo so, in no way, shape or form does this poll apply to you nor does anyone care that you don't have a tattoo on a poll titled "are you proud of your tattoo?" it's like me explaining that I don't buy rabbit food because I have a dog. No explanation needed. Thank you.

I do not have one, but I wanted to comment on this poll.

I am very curious about the methodology used in this survey. Their findings do not conform to my anecdotal observations. I may be demonstrably wrong, but most of the tattooed men and women in my world do not regret having one.

I first wanted one when I was a teenager, but decided not to get it (even though my parents gave me the money and permission) as I wasn't sure what I'd want for the rest of my life.
I figured it out a couple of months ago and I love my phoenix :)

There is in most states. Under 18 needs legal permission from parent or guardian. The shop I go to requires the parent or guardian to accompany and show i.d.
