LAist.com reports: Ladies, time to tame those tan lines in preparation to bare your boobies in the name of, well, the right to do so. GoTopless.org is once again sponsoring its annual march and rally for the equal right for women to go topless. The eye-catching event takes place at Venice Beach on Sunday August 26.

at MY AGE ..
any woman who is a bit more 'endowed' ..
any woman who has children ..
there's a need for "support" ..
(and that's the truth ..)

REAL Ladies ..
do not show their 'wares' for general 'consumption' ..
they act like ladies and cover them up and shore them up ..
and wear properly fitted garments!

Different how? They're both body parts, both very sensitive, both capable of secretion of fluids given the proper circumstances. One comes in a set of two the other as a single unit. Will women going topless trigger men going bottomless? Not likely. But I'd rather ere on the side of caution.

i agree. since guys dont have breasts, the best they can be compared to is the willies. girls have more to cover up. just be modest, i dont see whats wrong with bikini tops or shirts. we've moved past the middle ages, bras and swimsuits were invinted for a reason

Genitals are sexual organs, it will be the same if women walked around bottomless. Men walk around shirtless, also having nipples which are sensitive body parts.

Breasts shouldn't be compared to private bits, since women have their own version of that.

Breasts are breasts. They're as natural as nipples on men.

I have no idea where the origin of breast censorship lies, but it should have never existed. Seriously, who doesn't like boobs? Even straight women do - otherwise we wouldn't have lift-up bras, plastic surgery "enhancements", and other things to pamper and/or accentuate breasts.

Besides, heavyset males have "boobs" too, and they can legally go topless in public if they choose to. If you don't want to, then don't do it, but regarding this topic, I'd gladly work for equality.

If its not in a perverted nature and just a woman wanting to go topless I see no harm. Its the human body and if a woman is comfortable enough to walk around topless who are we to stop her.

I concur, but since it's common knowledge that Americans aren't open-minded like people of other countries, and such displays of nudity are considered taboo, the women who STILL insist on "letting the pups free" are more or less, on the trashy side.

I doubt that and disagree; breasts are only sexualized in our country. In many places in Europe, where there are nude beaches, bare boobs get a "meh" response.

I guess you can but a real women would have the maturity and courtesy to cover up. I guess if a women wants to particapate in this event, fine, whatever, its their choice and their life but I personally I find it gross and a totally ridicolous rally.

Yes, real women should follow the strict roles put up by normal society to a T. They should all wear dresses, stay at home, and keep their hair medium length! Never talk back to your husband, don't get ahead of yourself, and for God's sake, be a prude! Yes, real women. Honestly, I meant women with morals, Im not sayin women should wear turtle neck sweaters all the time or anything, I'm just saying its my personal opinion that this topless event is gross and weird. I also dont know where you are getting the strict rules thing, I never said anything about women shoudldnt have short hair, I dont like short hair but Im not saying thats like wrong or anything, I also never said anything about following the 1950s rules of being a woman, because I disagree with some of the way things were back then to women, so dont get ahead of yourself because all that stuff I never said, sorry if it was implied but it was not the message I was giving.

Our Western society, especially America, is too repressed about sex and nudity. We are ashamed of these things when they are perfectly normal and natural. Humanity is the epitome of evolution, or God's greatest creation. Sex is a beautiful and precious gift and should be treated with respect. Those protesting women are crazy. Most men would enjoy the show, and some men, like me, wouldn't have a relationship with them. I enjoy looking at my wife's body, but I don't want other guys to enjoy seeing under her clothing. That's an intimate right reserved only for me.

You're my kind of gal; however, we're both married. I agree with you; I would enjoy the show, but I wouldn't respect the entertainers. Men are attracted to women's breast in a much more sexual way than women are to men's chests. Those idiot protesters don't get it-they want to change the way Mother Nature made us. They're fighting a losing battle.

Thats because its normal to see a mans chest in public and a womans is considered more private. The reason has a direct correlation with the act. It's only because it isn't normalized. Women breasts are hyper sexualized because there is such a stigma around naturalism and nudity here. If it was the norm, no one would care.

Actually, the only place to usually see a man's chest is at the beach or pool. A man can bare his chest, but a woman can't, that's true, but if women always bared their breasts, it wouldn't be as sexual, that's true, but then, women would have to work harder at attracting men.

I appreciate more than breasts and vaginas, but like I mentioned, if bare breasts became commonplace, it would be normal to everyone, but I enjoy the mystery of wondering what's under a woman's blouse.
