Let's just state things this way ...
    at MY AGE ..
any woman who is a bit more 'endowed' ..
any woman who has children ..
    there's a need for "support" ..
    (and that's the truth ..)

    REAL Ladies ..
do not show their 'wares' for general 'consumption' ..
they act like ladies and cover them up and shore them up ..
    and wear properly fitted garments!

1- women breasts are sexual organs .... It's not appropriate to show sexual organs in public.

2- Showing women breasts will promote sexual harassment and rape, which cause a lot of troubles to the society.

Besides people wear clothes to look good, nobody wants to look like this

    JCD aka "biz"
I believe - I may be wrong - that "Eve-teasing" is more easily understood in India than in Egypt.
Four years ago, an Egyptian truck-driver, Sharif Goma'a, was sentenced to three years in prison, "with hard labor", for grabbing a woman's breasts so hard that she fell. The young woman was an Arab-Israeli tourist.
I think that the punishment was excessive, but a few months in a disciplinary camp would probably be a strong deterrent.

I am not so sure what the so called 'Eve-teasing' mean exactly ( no time to look it up, to be honest), but I'll tell you an interesting thing:

Deep inside women's minds, they like being taken care of, they like feel protected and loved by their special other, and by their male family members. In some cultures in the world, people took this way too far, until they called women "Holly".

For example, in the Arab culture (all religions. Christians, Muslims, Jews , etc), you will hear people usually say :

"I will take the 'holly ones' to the park"

    They actually mean:

"I will take the 'hareem' (women) to the park"

holly ones = hareem = women...

Why, thank you, kind sir for telling me what is in my mind. How would I ever have known that without a man to tell me?

    Any time!

However, it doesn't matter if the piece of information comes from a man or from a woman, women's psychology is an interesting topic to read. It's science, not a matter or personal opinions.

The main rule is: women do need men, as much as men need women.
So it's not bad to say it's men's responsibility to protect women, also it's not degrading to admit that we (men) were raised by our mothers and older sister and they mean everything to us. Plus, in successful marriages, women think that their husband is the best thing that happened to them, and men think that they can offer their lives to make their women happy, you see. Mutual respect and interdependence is good for both sides, men and women.

Actually yes, people's clothes convey a message to others who see them. When a woman wears a suit, her clothes convey a message that says "I am formal and doing something formal". When a woman wears a baby-doll, it says " I am going to have sexy time!". Even if she doesn't say it out loud, or even if she doesn't actually mean it.

BUT!.. I do NOT think it's "her fault" when some pervert sexually assault/harass her.

I am clearly saying that the society must take precautions keep women safe and provide the ultimate protection for women, who are our sisters, mothers, wives, daughters, etc.

Clothing is nothing more than artistry. It doesn't convey anything. The messages you're hearing are all in your mind, driven by media programming and your own assumptions. You don't protect people by depriving them of their most fundamental rights. Nudity is most definitely a fundamental right. The fact that it's illegal is an injustice.

If clothing doesn't convey anything, why is there an entire industry called Fashion, and it takes a whole section of discussion in sodahead too. People wear clothes that can give others good impression, and leave a pleasant message. Of course clothes convey a message, everyone agrees with that.

As for Nudity is a right, it's a right at home and private areas - may be. But not in public, because it will be like putting gasoline on fire.

But in public, there are basic rules that everyone has to follow, as in any civilized community. It took thousands of years for communities to evolve into following the basic rules and conventions that serve the societies and prevent conflict.

Fashion is artistry, it has no inherent meaning. What people agree with this year, they disagreed with last year and will probably disagree with next year. It's driven entirely by popular opinion which is never rational.

Why is nudity only a right in private? You say public nudity is "like putting gasoline on fire", what fire? What you mean to say is that all things sexual threaten to aggravate the immorality that already exists in society, causing it to self-destruct. Nudity and sex are not to blame for this. This is our fault.

The conventions of decency that we impose by law didn't evolve over thousands of years. They aren't the product of trial and error and improvement but were the arbitrary dictates of primitive tyrants from thousands of years ago and have been enforced by laws ever since. If our society were truly civilized, there would be no threat of apocalypse from things as simple and natural as nudity and sex.

Inappropriateness is a matter of opinion, as is "looking good", which means it shouldn't be a matter of law. Nudity doesn't cause or promote anything but nudity. People who hate nudity and can't handle it are the ones who promote harassment and rape by criticizing it, demonizing it, and spreading negative stereotypes about it.

First off breast or NOT part of the human reprodutive system. They are mamory glands, which men have as well. Women's are just larger and more prominent. In fact on some occassions in the abscence of a female parent the male began to lactate. One of symptoms for drinking too much is men developing breast.

Mammary glands are functional in women, but dysfunctional in men.

Men's nipples are dead and do not stimulate anything sexually. In women however, they are among the most sensitive sexual parts of their bodies.

So as I said, showing women breasts in public is like dropping gasoline on fire.

Oh really now? That's not true at all. I actually paid attention in Anatomy and Physiology. A marginal amount of research totally blows you comment out to the water. Here is an article from Scientific American that counters your claim.

Appearently you did not read the article. The men were lactating, which to me seems pretty darn fuctional. The study also stated that just about every male mammal was possesed of that ability.

I wish there wasn't this huge stigma over women going topless. Men can go topless, but we can't. It's kind of like how women in arabic countries have to cover themselves in burkas, because it is 'blasphemous' and 'rude' to show their bodies, because men can't control themselves if they see an uncovered woman apparently... Same with women not allowed to go topless. I wish we could, sometimes on a hot day I wish I could walk around with just shorts on like men do. If men are worried they'd be getting an erection everytime they saw topless women walkign around, I'm sure the more they got used to it, the more normal it would seem.
