I think the 50's... life was super care-free for me.

Kids played outside without fear of perverts

People left their houses open, and keys in their cars, and nobody bothered anything.

I had more then enough things to do, and plenty of friends to do them with.

I wouldn't trade my 90s childhood for any other decade.

I grew up in the 50's. Such innocent times. Young children ran neighborhoods with no cares, moms stayed at home to raise their children, most families had one car, a candy bars cost a nickel, a hula hoop and pogo stick were great entertainment and someone had to get up off their duff to turn the channel. Yep those were the days. Taking Sunday drives to the lake with the windows down as most cars did not have air conditioning. I wouldn't trade my 1950's youth memories for anything. People appreciated just what they had and few tried to keep up with the Jones's as they were driven further and further into debt as they tried.
If you're talking music...it was wonderful. No vulgarity and you could understand the words and meaning to the song.
Oh how I wish we could go back to the age of innocence.

Great times weren't they Professer W? I love the way the kids of the 70's think their decade was great. Drugs, disgusting music, protest. Yeah those were great. Haha

I remember the 70's very fondly growing up. No cell phones no internet no 1000 channel tv.
Just living life and having fun. Keep on trucking

Awesome! I will say that the computer is an obvious improvement but wouldn't it be nice to get rid of even that to go back to a nicer time?

...and a big decade for drugs. To me that wasn't a good decade.

Yes, but what an ugly time, no offense. I mean, what good came out of that decade? The assassinations? The Viet Nam war? The hippie movement? No offense but the 1960s would be an answer to "Name a decade that did the most damage to the country?"

For me, I was born in '61, so what I remember of the decade was that you could go anywhere pretty safely, cars were big and fast, Saturday morning cartoons were good and Sting-Ray bicycles were fast and sleek. Lived in a college town, so there were a lot of hippies, but they were nice.

OK. That's a hard one to argue against, but ok.

I was born in the mid 60s. I remember everyone being really chilled out in the 1970s (probably because they were stoned...Lol) . Nobody was uptight compared to the people of today.

The 1950s were always cool. What I find weird is that my cool decade was just 20 short years later So, people who thought the 90s were cool (both of them), the 1970s is to them what the 1950s were to me. That's weird.
