I don't need God and I don't want to live for eternity. Eternity is a very, very long time... I can't imagine how boring it would become. God made me an atheist, who are you to question his wisdom.
I had trouble following religion's way to God---"Faith" to me didn't work, I need evidence and some proof. Religion tells you to blindly follow and not ask questions, that doesn't fly with me. Believe it or not I found God through my brain, research and logic. Keep your mind open and read what many scholars have said about God,reserch the universe, reserch nature--you may be surprised what u find---I was
I'm a Christian. It was the faith of my family, but as I got older and was mature enough to make my own decisions, I began to explore. We honestly were not huge believers, so I got most of my info later on. After a while, I chose Christianity on my own, mostly because it's not a religion to me, or my church. It's a relationship.
Not how it works. Because of the plastic definition of God, (various religions), we have no choice but to take your very human word that YOU chose the right god. Atheism is the lack of belief in the claims of humans who have a special connection to a deity. It requires absolutely no faith (from the latin word Fides meaning trust). You are the one making the God claim, so saying the burden of proof is on atheists is akin to this conversation..
"I can fly!" "That's awesome, but I need you to prove it." "No prove that I can't fly first!"
OK, I lived with a devout Wiccan, I saw all the hocus pocus, read the literature and listened in on the ceremony's. I'm not saying there isn't anything to it but the powers your taping into are in question. 7 of the 12 who were in her group all died of tradgic, strange deaths by the age of 29. You do what you want, it's your life but beware---once a door is opened it's opened to negative forces as well.
Please inbox me if you are Wiccan or pagan, I am I need of other people as I only know one other Wiccan and im still in the process of studying and have lots of questions Blessed Be
The question was curious about different people's religions. I answered truthfully... if you didn't want the attention yourself, you wouldn't bother commenting, would you?
Born Christian, but it didn't work out as I was shown no proof, and I was getting tired of the bigotry it taught and the hipocrisy of the Bible(no offence to christians). I am now pagan because I actually recieved proof from my gods, who actually accept me.
i consider myself christian, many do not. i believe all, are already saved, and we only await the ressurection. my goal with the religion is to ready the religion for the coming of christ. he will select the proper church and many will follow. many will not, it is the freewill allowed by the religion itself. thou shall not force is a prime law of the correct religion. it is not a religion that requires constant attention, but the free art of compassion, comfort, and love thereof.+
I really wanted to be Roman Catholic, like my parents and my sisters and most of my childhood friends and teachers, but the bible stories are just too far fetched for me.
As a church musician I sang in Episcopal, Presbyterian, Methodist, Roman Catholic, American Catholic and Metropolitan Community Church (gay denomination). Catholic and Episcopal (Catholic w/o Pope) have been my favorites. However, all of them still have too many sexual problems for me. My personal religious practice has been Wiccan since I was a teen and that's what I consider myself today. I've done a lot of study of Christianities first 300 years and have taken a course in theology. The Christian church today is far too violent against sexual minorities for me to stomach it. I love Jesus, but too many of His followers worship fear and hate.
"I can fly!"
"That's awesome, but I need you to prove it."
"No prove that I can't fly first!"
Doesn't make a lick of sense.

dont point fingers, every religion has a minority with some kind of idea that suppresses another minority.
