Is this your first, last, or only? I've already had 2 go through kindergarten. After the first one, until the last one, it's pretty simple and unemotional. I'll see, when my last one goes through, how it is.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see them progress, and it does make me feel older, but that's about it. I don't cry that "my baby's growing up," every time they get a year older or move from one grade to the next.
...........I know You love Your whole Family, that's obvious.........me, I'm single without any children of my own, and for me, I'm fine with that, but above all, enjoy every facet of every day, raising Your children....... ;-)
i hope she has lots of fun in the first grade i loved it i remeber it like it was yesterday and i will be i highschool this year that tells you how god i remember things
OMG! And I bet you think that sounds long. Well, it is kind of long, LOL but I haven't been to Kindergarden in 32 years! Yikes! I swear it was just 10 or 13 like you. Ha ha!
We loved it! Here it's full time so it was a big change from preschool, where we only put her in part time for two years. So the adjustment to such a long day was big at first. She'd come home so exhausted and at first fell asleep right at bed time, which usually she has some quiet time playing for a bit in her room before sleep. Well, now she's use to it and she isn't quite as exhausted as she was in the beginning. But it's been quite a year! School bus, lunch at school, all kinds of kids and things to do. Much busier then preschool. She really likes school so we are lucky there. Even though she already swears she isn't going to college! Ha ha! We'll see about that!
aw, glad it went well. I hope my son transitions ok. I don't think they do naps in kindergarten anymore; and he sure does enjoy his naps at preschool! We've talked about it and he's even seen his school a few times. (crosses fingers) And I agree about college, that is a big must!
No kidding! LOL But she's six, what does she know. LOL Yea, they don't do naps anymore in Kindergarden. At least not here. So is your son starting this summer or next?
And kind of cherishing this day because it's a milestone. They fleet on by, which makes them so valuable and sometimes downright difficult. LOL I feel sentimental and all these funny emotions.
Nothing wrong with that. When my son played his last football game and the two teams shook hands at the night game, the song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" was playing. I totally cried like a baby. The thing is, I didn't expect to! There's no crying at football games!
I'm not near crying, but here I am writing this post today when I wrote a similar one yesterday. LOL But this is a new feeling. She's actually on her last full day of Kindergarden forever! LOL I had to write another post. A sappy one.
OMG!!!!! Tomorrow is my last day coming to school. forever. Im graduating. and i never thought i would make it to my Senior year of highschool. Im sooooo scared of the real world =0
I cried when my babies started school, I think must mom's do.
Go ahead and cry!
