It's horrible. I just moved from a city I've lived in for over 20 years to one I knew nothing about 40 miles away and it was the worst experience ever. My new apartment is AMazing, but moving is expensive and totally exhausting. I couldn't leave my mom so I had to find her a place to and both of our initial places fell through so we had to scramble to find TWO new places. I hardly had no help loading and unloading stuff and it rained the entire weekend while we were moving furniture, I was soaked and everything kept slipping down the ramp, including me.
It's exciting to move to a new area, but I have little time for the actual moving process. So I end up paying a moving company to pack up and move everything.
I moved from Az. to the Midwest last year ... I lived in Az. since I was born...except for a month or so twice...the whole thing was exhausting... selling my custom built home that I had built in 1995... and moving two cats ( one of them psycho) a rottweiler and spoiled dachshund and a horse ..Plus all my stuff from a 3200 square foot home 4 bedroom three bathroom three car garage ... to a place that I bought with just seeing it on line... and not set up for my animals...no doggy door ... no fencing... no barn ... and hard to find help to hire..to do some immediate work needed on the place...2 bedroom two bath ... huge unfinished basement...Yeah.... Stressfull and exhausting... and the people that I bought it from... had not vacated by the time I arrived... I ended up moving in the same day they left...
Yep... I had arranged a couple of different service's to come take care of a few issues before I moved in... but they couldnt because the other people were still in the house while I was on the road ...lock... stock ...and barrel trying to get here.
I find it exciting. New place to live, new stuff, new places to go, new things to discover. I like it. I'm actually due to move sometime in 2013 and I can't wait.
Ugh, I hate moving.
Maybe if it's a short distance but going to school, and coming back from school after 4 years over a thousand mile distance really sucks. Have to tow a trailer and what not while the packing and un-packing is an annoyance in itself.
i think its actually a little bit of both, it can be exhausting but its always exciting to be starting fresh somewhere new, good chance also to clean out and go through all ur stuff!

my legs where sore the next moring.
Especially after one is older and maybe married with kids, and has accumulated lots of stuff.
When I was young and single I moved from apartment to apartment,... that was not so bad.
But if you’re moving for good reasons, new job, bigger house or apartment, then its exciting.
