Seems like an overblown story, IMO. Slow news day. However, I also believe those that wish to demonize feeding babies should have their head examined.

If you have issues with boobs and their actual job, or your inability to want to explain this to your child, that is YOUR problem. Not the mother trying to feed her hungry baby.

My daughter told one person who said the same thing to her, F**K off. The person was an employee of a BABY FURNITURE STORE!!! LOL.. She was going to have twins and was going to buy new furniture for them.

That store didn't have a clue as to just how pissed off a nursing pregnant woman can get.

the child she was holding in the video clip looked about 2 years old, which I believe is too old to breast feed anyway. I make it a point to stare when women refuse to cover up when breast feeding. To me they are no different than flashers. flasher

The guard should have minded his own business and so should the person who complained. Not even a legit complaint.

21 months? It's her choice but this kid can chew down regular food and ain't starving. I think most moms caught up in this breast feeding debate are purposely drawing attention to what they're doing. I've had 3 kids and never had a problem and was always treated respectfully; but I didn't show off either.

No one got on this earth without coming through a woman.

Breast feeding is natural. Deal with it.

Urination and defecation are natural also, If I dropped my pants to take a dump in public I would be arrested! My mother breast fed some of my siblings, and always covered up with a receiving blanket when doing it in public.

Another view, would there have been complaints about a screaming baby?

Breastfeeding is not eliminating wastes and leaving them to stink and create sanitation and biohazard issues, as can be the case of public urination or defecation. It's not just about what's natural. It's about what's best for women and children and breastfeeding is.

The Museum apologized,so she should just be happy about that and let It go.

While we here in the Belgian Congo have absolutely no problem with breast feeding I feel 21 months is a bit past the weening age. Maybe the guard was thirsty?

Breastfeeding does not belong in public. IT is as simple as that. I am sure that gal would be suing the museum if some one had hurt her or the baby and it DOES HAPPEN. I am past this argument. There are many natural "acts" I do not care to see and this is one of them.

Bonding with your baby does not last for ever. Breastfeeding is one of them. Why women feel the need to expose themselves and their babies to a "open audience" while doing this is beyond me.

As much as I support breastfeeding mothers and all, I still think her reaction is a bit too much. Since the museum already apologized, why is she still outraged?

While I understand that she needs to take care of her child, breastfeeding should be done in a relatively discreet manner. It may be a natural process, but sometimes people attract a lot of attention on purpose.

Aw leave him alone, he didn't know what the policy was. He was just trying to do the right thing, acting on a complaint.
