I was working in Beverly Hills in the late 70s and went to their coffee shop cost me $5.00 for a cup a coffee. I know it doesn’t sound like much today but at most coffee shops it would have been under a buck. I can’t even imagine what a room would cost!

I never stay in expensive hotels, I'm one of those people that goes on road trips with a mattress put across my folded down back seats for a bed and showers at truck stops.

The only way I would ever do a high priced hotel is if I won the lottery or happened to have allot of money and no bills to cover.

Boca Raton Resort and Club. This was several years ago at a Sales Conference and it was $450 a night.

That one had a snack machine in each room. A Snickers bar was $4.50 if you took it out and ate it.
