Forget
bikinis! When it comes to swimwear, monokinis are all the rage this season. The popular style takes the two-pieces of a bikini and connects them via the middle torso with a small amount of fabric or chain. Due to their peek-a-boo style, many refer to monokinis as
cut-out one-piece swimsuits. (The distinction really seems to come down to personal preference, as well as to the amount of material connecting the two parts.)

As the weather has heated up, tons of celebrities have been spotted in monokinis: Sarah Hyland, Rihanna, Kim Kardashain, Paris Hilton, and Snooki—just to name a few. And celebrities aren’t the only ones wearing them. The
sexy look has won over many women who would never wear traditional one-pieces.

Still, not everyone is supportive of the monokini trend. Socialite Life website deemed them “fugly” and called for an end to their production. Kelly Lynch wrote: “I get that such a design looks sexy in a heavily photoshopped shoot, but to prance around the beach thinking you’re hot sh*t in one does everyone a disservice . . . Nothing’s as glamorous as a well-cut bathing suit or a flattering bikini. Stay away from the monokini!!!
What do you think SodaHeads? Are monokinis hot or not?
I think they'd look ugly on the average person. Rather like thongs.
woman are a beautifull work of art, fine functional design, monucular structure and down right pretty to look at
guess I will have to start looking a lot closer or at differant parts of the body in question

It's the body you wrap them around that is hot, or not.
But if the body is hot, why bother covering it at all?
