If you're like us, you probably begged your parents to take you to Chuck E. Cheese's when you were a kid, and you may have even had your birthday party there.

Well, today's kids may be out of luck, if one mom has her way and shuts the whole place down.

San Diego mom Denise Keller has filed a class action lawsuit stating that the kiddie restaurant chain is operating illegal gambling businesses, Capitol Weekly reports.

But before your mind conjures up something out of "The Sopranos," consider that Keller is taking issue with what she describes as kiddie versions of slot machines, which she believes violate state and federal gambling laws.

"It’s just pure random luck in terms of spinning out a result," Keller’s attorney Eric Benink said. "That, we believe, is a slot machine as California penal code spells out."

An overreaction? We'd say so. But as every parent who's ever had to shell out coins knows, those games are a huge waste of money.

This "woman" is out of her mind! If you dont agree with it, dont go . . .period! I bet shes the one thats gonna be the krabby 60 yr old (if not already) woman AKA CAT LADY who lives with her 50 cats and lives a lonely life alone and depressed without her kids even stopping by to visit all because she never took them to chuck E cheese. Really, Chuck R. Cheese. How the millions other arcades out there that have the same game? I would really like to know how this starts a gambling addiction? they buy tokens to play games some spit out tickets. they kids get no currency in return. they use the tickets to but cheap little toys that they think are great.
Once again its if you dont like it, stay the heck out away! im surprised shes not sueing them for the greasy piza that probably made her kids fat. BUt then that was her choice to take him there too....

i enjoyed my childhood at chuck e cheese, was always a blast. i'd rather have my kids playing at an arcade than out smoking/drinking with their pals on the streets. this at least gives kids a place to go to keep out of trouble and have a good time by winning prizes. AND this mom sounds like she has too much time on her hands, what is she gonna go to Vegas and sue them because people are REALLY gambling...get a life tight a$$...

I hate to gamble and I actually dont even know how to actually play most 'casino games' and I grew up going to Chuck E Cheese and DZ (Discovery Zone) This is just is dumb if that parent is worried about it then she shouldnt take her kid there but as far as making everyother kid pay for it is terrible its a fun way to keep kids out of trouble and they can run around If this does anything to kids it teaches them to be lazy and stay in front of the tv and play video games all day But I also dont even really like video games either so idk but gambling NO

The kids play MORE in the arcade than eat!
If they do not have an arcade - why go?
The pizza is OK, but a little pricey.
Without the arcade they would go belly up immediately.
And no, it does not promote gambling.
The kids are already used to games at home.
At least this way they get some exercise and social interaction with Birthday Party friends.

It's a shame that we have advanced medical help so easily available. It throws Darwin's findings off. There is no way her cave-woman self in a parallel universe wouldn't have gotten whacked for being such a moron. Natural selection was there for a reason, so we wouldn't keep breeding freak shows like her. I suppose if they were to open a new hospital inverse where they brought the nuts in and clubbed em, I could be bothered to serve on the board of directors. Just don't give your kids any money. If they earn their own then let them spend it how they want. My son and I will be heading down to the arcade in a year or so. They better still be there.

Well since the whole point of it was for the games I don't think it would be wise to ban them since Chuck E. Cheese was founded by Nolan Bushnell who also founded Atari.
These things are getting out of hand!
You go, order a pizza and when you wait for your food, you play games, it's as simple as that.
