Miscounting bioenergy benefits may increase greenhouse gas release

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- A fixable error in the way carbon is counted in current U.S. climate legislation and in the Kyoto Protocol could undermine efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using biofuels, says a premier group of national environmental and land use scientists.

"The promise of biofuels made from biomass is huge, from both climate mitigation and economic perspectives," said Phil Robertson, Michigan State University professor of crop and soil sciences and one of the authors of the paper "Fixing a Critical Climate Accounting Error" published in the Oct. 23 issue of the journal Science.

I am not into science enough to make a comment on this but I will say that I am not a big believer in the Al Gore theory of greenhouse warming. The earth has gone through many ice ages and warming spells long before we started polluting the earth. I believe we should cut down on pollution but I am against the "Cap and Trade" bill and the Kyoto Protocol. I am also against the treaty from the UN that Obama wants to sign giving away our national sovereingty and having to pay out money to other countries when we already have such a huge national debt.

Mankind was supposed to have replenish the earth from the get go! We were to reproduce, refill, restock, replace, renew, and restore this planet. No, what did mankind do...
we torn-down, trash-down,and polluted it. Now we are going to have to redo what they didn't take care of!

You can't use food for energy and it expends more energy to produce fuel. There are idle biofuel plants now. Another "eco scam" we are paying for.

I was reading this AM that France is pushing to have Tony Blair placed as president of EU. Looks like if everyone gets their way the US will be under that world control. If BO signs that treaty we'll follow their laws. I think that is what BO was looking to do with Soros help and money. He has really climbed that political ladder way to fast and President is just another rung on the ladder.

I wish I had any kind of idea. I have emailed my Senators. Give them a heads up since they are under all this pressure on the Health Care. BO is doing his old magician tricks. Keep everyone busy watching one thing and do that slight of hand and sneek something else in.
