Microsoft and Apple have been duking it out since the start of technology. The companies are classic arch-enemies with a healthy dose of mutual respect. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates had a notorious "frenemy" relationship, with Gates' Microsoft actually providing a bailout financing (investment) to the tune of $150 million in 1997. It was an investment that saved Apple and was hugely profitable to Microsoft in the long run. But, with all that being said, a person is either PC or Apple. Which one are you?

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer declared war on Apple and didn't rule out a Microsoft-made smartphone.

Microsoft and Apple both use the same hardware, but Apple charges 2-3 times the amount for the same parts. My PC cost me a little over $1,000 to build but an Apple with almost identical specs would cost $3,174.00 (from their website)

As for the OS, Apple is good if you don't understand computers and don't do more than surf the net. PC is good if you like being able to control your machine and get work done.

I choose apple. However if you just sit back and think the only thing you compare these companies with is software. I like both software the same along with Linux because I don't like to use the same stuff every day it gets boring. Regular people tend to hate apple because it is the flavor of the day and thus want to be contrary. And Generaly the only people who complain about Microsoft are people who buy cheap computers that have really bad hardware and tend to visit irrelevant website that will give them viruses and people who don't know how to use a pc in the first place. However there are the few who pick a brand because it suits there needs in a computer.

Although, I have myself an iPad and iPod, I have to say that Microsoft does better work than Apple on software. iOS is only for iDevices. On the other had many mobiles and pads support Java.

If you're talking about just the OS, I think Apple is way better than Microsoft. BUT, I'd rather have a PC and deal with Windowns than have to deal with an Apple computer to have the luxury of Apple's OS.

This is not a good comparison. MICROSOFT does not make hardware, but software. Apple makes the hardware and the software. You are asking us to compare APPLES N ORANGES (sorry for the pun)

I've got an iPod shuffle and classic and would love an iPad, iPhone, MacBook, iMac...

god i hated how it would only sync files cause when i bought on i wanted to put all my music and vids to watch on the go on it so i got the 60 gig but the comp i had at the time was an old laptop with only 10 gigs. so i stuck rock box on it. :P

Depends on what you're talking about. My Windows cost less, has a touchscreen, and can run pretty much any program. On the other side, I would take an iPhone over a Windows phone, and an iPod over a Zune.

Since there is no Other option, I chose Apple, because I own more of their products. My PC, however, is a Microsoft OS- because that is what I'm familiar with.

I don't really like Microsoft that much, but I do remember my first day at a newspaper I had volunteered for and they had a MAC. I remember going, "WTF do I do?" I spent my first day trying to figure out how to copy and paste. Call me stupid, but yeah. Lol.

Apple is able to charge more because one of its biggest selling points is that it doesn't get viruses which is largely in part due to not being a big a target as Microsoft. Essentially - Apple costs more because Microsoft has a bigger market.

More customizable, more flexible, and a lot less expensive. It has more games and programs available, too. And personally I prefer the PC's GUI (maybe it's not as pretty, but it's a lot simpler.)

Apple products are innovative with a high dedication to design and quality. Steve Jobs was an ass and a jerk, but brilliant none the less.

Microsoft products are all derivative. They steal other peoples ideas and make cheep, crapy lower cost rip off versions. They have no dedication to quality, and make most of their money providing support for products that don't work right in the first place.

I hate pc. I loved my mac and it hooks up to everything in the house. It dose everything I need it to do and never had a problem. I can't stand this new pc I got. Most of the time I want to chuck it out the window.

hell when i got this computer i set it up just fine and at that time i was just above noob status. it's currently the hub of the network with all sorts of bells and whistles, learned how to do it as i went along. so was it the computer; i kind of doubt that.
