Michelle Obama wore an exquisite J. Mendel cap sleeve jacket to the London Olympics reception -- and there's no denying it's gorgeous -- but there is some controversy over the price: $6,800. Check out the dud... and the critical reactions in the video below!

It almost seems like the First Lady can't win because she has also been criticized for wearing "cheap" clothing, but that seems to be the status quo for females in the political world. When you see the First Lady (any First Lady) wearing expensive clothes like this, does it seem like she's flaunting her wealth like some claim. Does it offend you? Or does it go with the territory of being married to the President of the United States?

Michele Obama wears a variety of clothes at differing prices. I really don't care how much she spends on her clothes because she can afford everything she wears. I think it's silly to worry about that and to see in the news one day that her outfit was too casual and the next that it is too expensive. I have better things to worry about.

Mrs. Obama has horrible taste in clothes. No matter how much it costs, it is too much. She picks out horrible styles, and does not dress appropriately being a President's Wife of the United States. I am a professional seamstress and I see some of her clothes styles in the pattern books at the fabric stores. She should try to eminate well dressed other First Ladies. Does she not take advisement from the Presidential staff.?

She has been doing healthy eating tip videos for children on the Disney channel for YEARS now, and has gone on talk shows like The View, and spoken at schools all over America promoting health AND has been a fund raiser for children's education AND children's school lunch programs ever since the Obamas came into office.
