why on earth shouldn't she wear it??She's a very attractve lady with a very high profile-you can't get much higher than being the wife of the President,surely.And let's face it, they're not exactly in dire poverty,are they!!!

All the First Ladies have done it; if Michelle tried some "austerity" crap everyone would know it was crap. I kind of hope she does it, for that reason.

People are out of work and loosing their homes and insurance. Michelle may want to start pulling magic out of her hat for the american people.

If she and husband are going to demonize money, and belabor the struggles of the middle class, then they should show a bit more discretion when it comes to the cost of items they put on their backs, the cost of vacations which the tax payer pays for especially, since they have done everything possible to stifle job creation with the Obama Economy.

I think there are many beautiful jackets out there that don't cost an arm and a leg. She should be an example to her husbands constituents who are hurting because of his lousy economic policies. They are pitting the rich against the poor and then live higher and more ostentatiously than most rich people.

Mrs. Obama is a black woman that's not trying to be white, and Mrs. Romney is a white woman and don't think she's trying to be a black woman in style and or fashion. Stop comparing the two ladies, they have different taste and flavor in the clothing they choose to cover their bodies. There are reasons Mrs. Obama choose certain outfits for certain occasions or functions. The same holds for Mrs. Romney, so let it be. They are two pretty ladies; can't we all agree on that? No one here so far is bringing up the former first lady before Mrs. Obama and comparing the two in clothing cost, vacations and etc. Show some class yourself, because though you are mostly saying some of this stuff for shock value; it still makes you come off as being really stupid. I voted no. I don't care what people spend their money on if they came by it honestly. Do I think it was good taste or appropiate in light of many stuggling with living pay check to pay check (or unemployment)? I say no. She's a vain person.
