Men/Women What do you like/dislike about Strip clubs?

Total waste of money. You go in feeling horny, you come out feeling even more horny! Never been to one in Britain. At least abroad, most of the strippers are also prostitutes. Apparently!

I don't like strip clubs because I find nothing attractive about a woman who takes her clothes off for money. That simple really.

I personally have never been to a strip club. From what I've seen in movies & from a stripper at a party it's not my type of thing. I don't find the men wearing the thong, gstring, whatever attractive at all. Nor do I wish to be one of a crowd of sex starved women acting like they've never seen a man's body before.

As far as women's strip club? Waste of time & money. If you want the real deal from someone who isn't charging you & you can actually touch all you want, go home to your woman.

It's no big deal to me. I knew a lot of sex workers when I lived in Seattle, and I even went to their various clubs a handful of times to visit them and say hi. Hell, I even once paid for a lap dance just out of curiosity! Some of the clubs are nice and some are sleazy, but I don't judge how people spend their money for a good time or where/how they work. As long as nobody gets hurt, it's fine with me. (Ironically enough, I've never had an interest in Chippendale's or any kind of strip club for women---and I'm straight! But those dancers are simply not my type. I like rocker dudes, haha...)

There are a lot of variations in strip clubs (especially over the years). I remember the seedy joints in Boston's Combat Zone (1970's), the old time Burlesque clubs in NYC, the famous clubs on Broadway in San Francisco (Carol Doda) and even the out of the way places, on roads to no where. Some of these clubs in NYC today (Hustler, Penthouse, VIP clubs) are high end. Business clients are routinely entertained there and the girls pull in major dough. They don't all do lap dances.

I've never had occasion to go to one, so there isn't much I can say about them. *shrugs*

I dislike that it causes some men to place "unrealistic expectations" on their wives and girlfriends. (not everyone is as limber and sexy as I am).

They are disgusting places that some women are forced to work unfortunately. There was nothing wrong with places like The Playboy Club, because they were classy operations, but today's men's club is not very classy and even sleazy in some cases. I was forced to go to these places sometimes when my old boss came to town and I had to pretend to like it, I liked the girls of course they were sometimes pretty but the people around me, I did not want to even share the air with them.

No one forces them to work there. That's the choice they make.

The fear of poverty forces them, it also exploits them.

I guess it just my point of view. I simply do not feel a women would do a job like that, unless she has very few alternatives or none. This is why the safety net is very important. We need people who fall between the cracks to have a dignified alternative that reeducates them and moves them into good paying jobs with in fives years of losing there previous careers. Of course there are women that like that type of work and for them more power to them, but when I was in the corporate world I was forced to have to go to these places and me being the questioner, I would speak with these women and very few liked what they did for a living and that made me feel bad for them. I know what it is to have do a job that is some what humiliating and believe me you see how cruel people can be.

I've known a few in my lifetime. Drugs played a part in a couple of their lives, which I'm not sure of if that or the stripping came first. Also known ones where their boyfriends know of it & have no problem w/it, I can't grasp why he would be, well I can, the $. My daughter has a very good friend that is a stripper, she graduated and didn't move on to a regular job like the rest of the girls, but she's a sweet, sweet girl...who I just learned is pregnant. Has a bf as well, Idk what she will do now, and I've never asked my daughter nor this friend why she chose to do this but my guess is, again, the money. At any rate it's sad.

The almighty dollar can make us do things we don't want, its depressing.

Don't care one way or the other. The business employs a lot of people . . . not my business to judge out others make their living. Also, if a couple of hours at the club makes a person feel happy after they work hard all week, more power to 'em.

Usually has cover charge, overpriced drinks, not to mention the numerous ladies asking for money. Buy a Playboy/Penthouse, a six pack, a lot cheaper, and no driving

In my younger years, it cost little of nothing to get in, you probably spent $10 on dollar at a time and got to see hot sexy young naked women.

Now that I am older.. It costs $30 to get in the door, and $30 for a dance.. and they won't come up to you if you only wave dollar bills. and it is the SAME women that were there 20 years ago - - only they don't look so hot, or young anymore.

it's been three years since I've been to one but I did notice a change from the early 90's. They are more aggressive and much more abrasive than what I remember.

They keep the Russian Mafia in Cali busy and out of other areas of debauchery here!

I have spent my time around strippers and such. The smart ones are actually degrading naive men who pay CASH for a leg hump!
