i have seen some of them worry about much worse than their looks

If a man doesnt worry about his looks, then he is typically a loser who smells bad and will never get a decent date in his whole life, he will settle for a loser woman.

My image of a Man is a person who:

- enjoys thought, an intellectually well-rounded person

-can repare or carry or cook or clean when is asked of him, thus physically able and with certain knowledge of everyday utility; enjoys a certain sport is ideal

-has a sense of pride, respect and honor, but reasoned as to not choke his judgement

-can take care of himself, and maybe a wife and children (not saying women shouldnt work, saying the man should be able to provide for her weither she does or not). This is money-wise but also as protection against people, or the government, trying to cheat/rob/trick/hurt them

If a man, by getting mani/pedicures etc (or anything else in fact, wether its computer, drink or drugs, or even studying etc) , fail at these four principles, then they can be called "pansies". If part of their pride, job or personal indulgence is anything girly or foolish or irresponsible, as long as he can maintain the four points, he is not a pansie.

Furthermore, if a man does not get a job or a promotion that would help support his family, because his "pride" stops him from being clean and presentable, this man is a pansy , and an idiot at that. This is what i mean by reasoned pride and honor.

I think its good that guys look after themselves x :)

heh...that's actually kind of funny...BUT THAT'S BESIDES THE POIINT! hm...i wouldn't say they are pansies, but...i'm not exactly sure if all that is necessary....but if you're just doing it for yourself, then it's your choice. I guess it wouldn't be so bad to treat yourself like such, but nawww not pansies. ;)

There is a point to looking clean, and presentable. I do think the manicures, pedicures, and waxing are a bit much.

These are the same men who cant fix anything around the house. (normally) I believe in taking care of yourself but really a pedicure, and manicure who are you kidding. How the hell can you grip a tool box with hands like that.

i hate this notion. why does being a man mean you have to look like a slob?

this is why women love how gay guys look, because at least they know how to look presentable.

Men as well as women should take care of themselves and I don't see anything wrong with it!
