You should have listed "other". I dated someone who advised that his arm pits smelled after he shaved them completely. Trimmed seems more practical if that is the case.

Unusual claim. Bacteria cause odor and with hair present, there is more breeding ground for bacteria. I have heard many claims of the opposite. My own experience is that shaving reduces, but not necessarily eliminates, odors.

It is a personal opinion of his. That would be the only opinion that mattered.

The trend is for more men to shave under their arms. I think smooth pits look better than with a tuft of raggedy hair, all wet and smelly. Nice to know the younger generation agrees. The next frontier is shaving pubic hair.

How about persona hygiene and looking better. There is nothing worst than a dead dirty mop under your arm. Real men take care of themselves and are not afraid of grooming.

Just the kind of response I'd expect from a liberal Canadian.

I am NOT liberal. I voted in out Conservative government.

However, if you think that all it take is hairy arm pits to make you a man, you masculinity is definitely seriously at risk and you are definitely not much of a man to begin with.

Yes, it does help to manage BO. If using roller type anti deoderants, the roller pulls the hair

I hate the shaved man look that's getting so popular. I just think it makes men look young, and plastic... like Ken dolls.

A lot of men shave because of what they do ...if they are into sports...modeling etc...others shave because of skin conditions...

I dated a man who couldnt stand the feel of wet hair under his arms, and believe you me he was by no means gay or narcissistic...I know another guy who shaves all over because of his job, and he isnt gay...tad conceited but not narcissistic...lol

Deodorant works better against skin - not hair. BO is an instant turn off.

Not a turn off at all-I do not see male armpits as something "sexual". My husband shaves his armpits because he is into sports but sweats a lot, so we both prefer his armpits hairless to stinky ones lol
sexual husband shaves armpits sports sweats armpits hairless stinky lol

Which kills the notion that only gay guys do this, or that something in general is wrong with men who do. Anyone besides me tired of black or white thinking?

Never thought of it one way or the other...Armpits on a man are not responsible for what turns me on or off....But if those armpits stink,...definite turn off .....*lol

Agree. Although for guys, unshaven underarms can be very sexy, and accentuate masculinity. For women, unshaven underarms are a bit creepy to me ... mainly because I'm not used to seeing it. Of course, women in other cultures often do not shave.

Whatever floats one's boat: If it works, by all means, do it.

I, however would not shave mine. I like me just as is.
