Quick and to the point. When I was at the beach, there was this couple...mid 50's...he quite handsome and trim, her...not so much (being honest!). My friend and I, being the observers of people that we are, couldn't help noticing how she pushed him around. We would give him "sorry" looks when she wasn't looking...felt bad for the guy. He didn't look happy. The ultimate was he had to carry her purse, everywhere (we saw them a lot!). I never ask my husband to do that, and if I did and he said no, I wouldn't blame him. If I can't carry it, I don't need it! What say you?

I don't expect any man to help me with my purse unless it's absolutely necessary. Are you kidding, if my purse gets scuffed by a man....he's getting hurt!!! lol

It's one thing if I ask him to hold it while I tend to something else.
But shoot...it's MY purse...I need it to compliment whatever outfit I may be wearing that day.

I was at the mall and this guy was carrying his gf's purse. Not much wrong with that if she was carring a bunch of things, but she was empty-handed so i thought it was a bit funny.

My husband has taken my purse off my hands when I actually needed both of my hands to do something. But, when I'm done I take it back from him immediately. It's just weird seeing my husband walk around carrying my Marilyn Monroe purse. xD

My hubby loves to carry my bag, it's heavy and he just slings it over his shoulder without me asking or thinking twice about it!

my man has helped me few times with my purse, i don't see anything wrong with that. he is man enough to do that and i have seen many other men doing that. i respect and love him, i do not consider him less manly.

I have asked my husband on occasion to carry it, usually when I am sick or my hands are full. And even then it is only to the car or into the house. I never expect him to do it, that is mean and slightly embarrassing for him. I can demean him in other ways (kidding!...sort of).

the only time i asked my man to hold my purse was when we were in a big city and i had to shuffle a few things around. so he held it (so it wont get snatched up) for like, 30 seconds as i did what i had to do.

or... i guess i have asked him to hand me my purse a few times if he was closer to it at home or something like that.

but i NEVER make him carry it. if i dont wanna carry it myself then i leave it at home and i carry my ID and stuff in my pockets.... or his pockets as most female pants have no pockets or pockets big enough.

If I can't carry it myself, then I don't carry it. I've seen couples like this...My grandparents being one.

My grandma bossed my grandpa around continuously...and he carried her purse for her everywhere too...But he loved her and stayed with her for 55 years till she passed away. ....WHY?? I'll never understand. My grandpa was the greatest person you could meet...my grandma..the biggest b!tch....Gotta be love although I'll never understand how you can treat someone you "supposedly" love so awful..

The only time Carys has ever asked me to hold hers is when I was also asked to hold her coat whilst she tried something on in a store. I certainly wouldn't go walking about with it. Nor would she ask me.
