America Commits Suicide

Here lies the United States of America
Born: July 4, 1776
Died: November 6, 2012

The Will of the People Has Spoken, and America Died

The End of an Empire

by Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh - Wednesday, November 7, 2012

Our Constitutional Republic died a peaceful death on November 6, 2012. Having reached the point of no return in a comatose state after years of progressive and illegal immigration assaults, the fabric of conservative society is now completely unraveled and Uncle Sam’s America is no more.

The United States of America is now relegated to the dust bin of history as a “has been” empire. The Shining City on the Hill, the hope of so many millions since July 4, 1776, no longer exists. What rises from the ashes is a country that few of us will recognize, like, or learn to accept submissively.

After 236 years of existence, a new country emerges today, run by secular progressives who rejected our Constitution, what we stand for, and who we are as a nation. The Supreme Court will be forever altered after its last conservative members will be replaced by the liberal academics who call themselves “progressives.” The rule of law will be implemented by Executive Orders, making Congress irrelevant.

The communist motto “Forward” that resonated with so many ignorant Americans will plunge us into many years of darkness from which we will never be able to recover. We have proven our Founding Fathers right, they did give us a Constitutional Republic and we were unable to maintain it.

The forces of the failed communist fundamental transformation that were driven underground in many places around the world, resurfaced with a vengeance in the United States and have now taken over.

How long we will still have freedom of speech, movement, assembly, and control of our private property remains to be seen. Faith and churches will be driven underground; allowing secularism to prosper and take deep roots among the progressives whose God is Mother Earth.

The welfare-dependent Americans, unions, and illegal aliens have chosen for the rest of us the dark path of serfdom to big government and to socialist utopia.

Who would have guessed that the very people who were complaining that the government is not extricating them from disaster or giving them the help they needed in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, would vote for the very politicians who turned their backs on needy Americans after the lights went dark when the political photo opportunities ended?

Who would have guessed that Americans were as ignorant and irresponsible as to choose fiscal destruction over fiscal sanity for their children and grandchildren, secularism and communism over faith, dependence over personal responsibility and self-reliance?

Americans have been protesting for the last four years the dismal state of the economy and the direction of our country, the corruption of our politicians, and the loss of personal and economic freedom.

Rallies in support of conservatism overwhelmed venues for Mitt Romney while rallies for our bumbling President became scarcer and scarcer. Yet, miraculously, at the ballot box, our President won all over the country.

We lost seats in the Senate. Americans chose liars and cheats to be their Senators and Representatives, rejecting those who protected the Constitution. The candidate from Massachusetts who claimed direct American Indian lineage to Pocahontas is now a Senator, having defeated Scott Brown. Representative Allen West lost his seat by a narrow margin to the infamous Wasserman Schultz from Florida.

Americans chose high unemployment, reduction of our military, communist indoctrination of their children, and loss of personal freedoms unlike we have never seen before in this country.

I am saddened by the loss of millions and millions of American soldiers who have died to preserve freedom yet we lost it on November 6, 2012. Those buried in cemeteries around the world and at Arlington must be rolling in their graves today. We shamelessly allowed their sacrifice of blood and treasure to go in vain. We have no honor because we let down all the soldiers who fought in recent times and returned home limbless with lives shattered from physical and mental wounds of war.

I mourn today the loss of my adopted country. I have fought hard over the last four years to prevent its overt and accelerated destruction but the darker forces stronger than many of us have overcome concerted efforts by millions of Americans to maintain the Republic. Mediocrity, sloth, godlessness, dependence, cowardice, using the law selectively or ignoring it, and hopeless corruption will define the new country. Only God can save us now with his mercy and grace.

You!

BUCCANEER, This country was born on a battle field, and the politicians of today do not understand that if it dies, it will also be on a battle field. They are planting their seeds now, but as the Bible says, it will be in vain, for their enemies will eat their profit.

    Hi Bucc,

This is a brilliant essay. Although there is nothing new in it, it beautifully and comprehensively captures what is at the root of our decline - the horrific "flip-flop" that progressives have imposed on our highest body of law. Our Founders intended, via the Constitution, that private property be sacrosanct (high economic freedom), and human behavior be constrained to ensure a civil society (low social freedom). Progressives believe the exact opposite, and have turned the Founders' highest goal of "ordered liberty" into "dictatorial chaos." Central economic planning has largely replaced the free market (leading to loss of economic freedom and crushing sovereign debt), and our "anything-goes" social policy has led to an ever growing trend toward anarchy (massive levels of abortion, "normalization" of sexual perversion, cultural and other divides that threaten to turn national cohesion into internal warfare, severe degradation of regard for ethics in personal and other dealings, etc.). As Dr. Paugh says, we are truly lost.

I know what you're saying. After four years of Obama proving that he is a Constitution breaking socialist, and not the "center-left" President he claims to be, how could 50% of the public vote for him in 2012? At the end of the day, we reap what we sow. Our ultimate enemy is ourselves, because too many of us are uninformed or brainwashed.

Absolutely correct. But vote counting fraud was clearly an issue too. It was most obvious in big swing states, which of course is no surprise. The same vote-rigging scheme (voting machines that pick Obama by default) was used to defeat Sharron Angle in her contest against Harry Reid for Senator in NV in 2010. Angle had an 11 point lead against Reid 12 hours before election day, but she lost by 10 points (55/45). The voting machines were "maintained" by the SEIU. Need I say more?

The situation in the US is dire. It is estimated that over 10% of the names on district voter rolls are people who have moved to a different district or state, are dead, or are illegal aliens. And the Obama Administration is actually filing federal lawsuits against states that try to clean up their voter rolls, or pass Voter ID laws. The federal Voting Rights Act actually REQUIRES states to take steps to keep their voter rolls accurate. And the federal Dept. of Justice is SUING states simply for complying with federal law. Only in America.

He had lost a son many years before, the boy barely more than a toddler when he died. Now another son was dead and grief sat on him like the shawl that draped his shoulders as he rattled around the big, cold house. His wife was emotionally troubled and spent money they did not have. His subordinates were insubordinate, convinced he was out of his depth and that they could do a better job. And his country had split along a ragged seam of geography and race, boys from Maine and Vermont fighting it out against boys from Georgia and Tennessee, their bodies left broken, bloated, bloody and fly-swarmed, dead by the profligate thousands.

It was against that backdrop Abraham Lincoln decided to say thank you.

He issued a proclamation making the fourth Thursday in November a day of national gratitude. Almost 150 years later, it still is.

This year, the commemoration follows a bitter election, with secession being bruited about like some distasteful joke, and the atmosphere so acrimonious it calls to mind the years before the Civil War itself. It also comes as we are rediscovering our 16th president ...

It also comes as we are rediscovering our 16th president yet again, this time through "Lincoln," a new film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day-Lewis.

The movie has drawn rave reviews - and deservedly so. It frees Abraham Lincoln from the sarcophagus of marble in which great men are inevitably encased. Day-Lewis' Lincoln steps down from the memorial to rail, scheme, despair, fret and, when all else fails, tell a folksy story as he attempts to shove the *13th Amendment - the one that ended slavery - through a balky Congress.

Amid all the renewed interest in Lincoln, one hopes we don't miss the lessons inherent in the simple fact that a man of such profound grief made a statement of such profound gratitude. There is contradiction there - and the resolution thereof. Contradiction was the story of Lincoln's presidency, his epic struggle to put North and South back together. It was also the story of his life.

He was, after all, a religiously ambivalent man who believed himself a tool in the hands of God, an unschooled man who was often the smartest one in the room, a melancholy man who found salvation in humor, a white supremacist who abhorred African slavery. So perhaps we ought not be surprised that, with every good reason to shake an angry fist at heaven, he asked his nation to give heaven thanks instead.

It is an example worth remembering in a nation fiercely divided by its own contradictions of ideology, demography, geography, sexual orientation, religion and race. It is worth remembering not simply because giving thanks is always a good idea, but also because this specific example reminds us that there is in us a need - and an ability - to reconcile disparate pieces, draw them together, as he did, into a greater whole.

We think of people and nations as being all of a piece. But people and nations are complex things. They are made of contradiction, and maybe that's a necessary thing, maybe that tension is the seed of human achievement. It takes a spark to make a fire.

Fires warm us. And yes, fires burn things down.

There is defiance - you might call it faith - to Lincoln's decision to speak gratitude when he did. But he navigated by the pole star of compassion large enough to encompass the whole of America's contradictions. "With malice toward none," he said. "With charity for all ..." A month later, he would die with an assassin's bullet in his brain.

We live in a time of louder, if not more substantive contradiction, an angry, polarized, ominous time, sparks building fires that may yet warm - or destroy. But that is the singular challenge of our existence, isn't it? To resolve the contradictions into grace and a spirit of thanksgiving, defiant."

I'm not bitter about the election, nor is the "majority" of Americans who got what they wanted. I think Ol'Abe would be proud of those who saved America, and disgusted with those who feel they should "break it up" because they couldn't turn it into something HE worked against...even gave his life for!

To use an old conservative slogan: "America, love it or leave it!" Please GO, and find your OWN damned country! Leave America, intact, FOR Americans...the MAJORITY of Americans.

I'm not angry, I'm elated! The majority of Americans WON! I don't know how many millions you would need to see that would add up to "Americans in total", that would be 100% to my way of figuring the "arithmetic", so, no, Americans in total did NOT vote for Obama. However, Democracy if predicated on "MAJORITY" opinion, and the VAST "majority" voted for Obama! YOU are the new MINORITY...be careful, you may lose your voting rights unless you get control of your state idiots!

You have governors and others messing will voter rolls trying to kick off minorities. You pass illegal laws demanding photo ID to vote and other dirty tricks all aimed to cut back on minorites voting because in your heart of hearts you know they vote for Democrats in large numbers, so you try to cheat.

Here's a news flash. It ain't 1955 anymore. The country is changing. Each year more minorities reach voting age and you idiots only disrespect them. You nuts enough to think they then will vote Republican? Same with women. It seems in the last election Romney and others went out of their way to mock and disrespect women. Now you're shocked they rejected Romney? Really, you're that dense?

Now about that collective anger problem you idiot right wingers have. I know why. You're not really as stupid as you pretend. At least some of you see the writing on the wall. Once solid red states are turning purple and soon many will be blue. Look at the map. Its going to get harder in 2016 and years after that, lots of luck even being close. The West coast isn't the only blue West of the Mississippi anymore. That's why you're so pissed.

You lost the last best chance you were going to have in the next 50 years or so. It looks very grim for Republicans, a dying collection of mostly angry, greedy, old white men, especially the looney conservatives and even more so for the wack job Libertarians.

Sorry to have to break the bad news to you. But, you are turkeys, just keep gobbling and the hatchet will fall soon enough no matter how loud your squeal.
