Oak Creek Police said that at least seven people are dead, including a shooter, during a massacre at a Sikh temple on Sunday. A police officer was also shot and was in surgery at Froedtert Hospital.

It seems to me like a hate crime targeting a specific religious group not a random mass murder like the one in Aurora.

If it is, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that a Muslim is involved. They've targeted Sikhs before in India.

In India, actually the Sikhs have more tension with the Hindus, because of the Indian Army storming the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

I believe that extreme antisocial behaviour to be directly connected to the stresses and pressures upon society as a whole.

With foreclosures. job losses and finances being so tight, would it be so far fetched that potential psycho and sociopaths are closer to their respective cracking points?

Sounds to me like a mistake of Sikhs for Muslims. There is plenty of hate emails going around about Muslims theses days and people who don't know the difference. All Asians are not Buddhists and all Arabs are not Muslim.

I constantly see that all the time, where people will think Sikhs are Muslims. Simply because of their South Asian appearance and thick beard growth. I was in a post office one time, when a Sikh man walked in. This dumb American woman absolutely insisted that he was a Muslim in there to kill all of us. When I said to her that he was Sikh, she said to "same thing."

This was religious or political...

There was strong reason behind this.

The previous shooting at the theater had to do with the guy being crazy instead of vengeful.

We will see...when an act like this happens anywhere in the world and especially in the US it is most likely done by a muslim...just stating the facts. Muslims have performed over 19,000 acts of terror worldwide since 9/11....no other group of people come even close to the muslim folks if you really want to talk about hate...

In India, the Sikhs have more tension with the Hindus, not the Muslims. When Indira Gandhi was assassinated, it was by her Sikh bodyguards, in response to the Indian Army storming the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

If it was a movie theater, maybe...but this was a temple. Most mass shooting tend to be unrelated unless they have they have similarities and other than being a mass shooting close to the Aurora one, I don't see any similarities.
