Mary-Kate Olsen Smokes in Front of Boyfriend’s Daughter: Bad Role Model, or No Big Deal?

Bad girl, Mary-Kate! The Olsen twin, 26, was spotted strolling in New York with her 42-year-old boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy (half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy) and his tweenage-looking daughter. All the while, Mary-Kate Olsen was puffing away on a cigarette, The Daily Mail reports.

The actress-turned-fashion mogul and the investment banker appear to be going strong, but we wonder what this little girl’s momma has to say about the secondhand smoke, even if they are French. Mary-Kate, don’t you know that smoking ages your skin? And oh yeah, it can kill you.

    She's in a diverse way a good role model...the kid will most probably be a non smoker after seeing what the effects are and most kids I ever met think that smoking is a disgusting habit anyway.

    Yes, but to me she looks like trailer trash, too. That's just me personally, though. Slutty is my word of choice. Maybe it's just because I hate the Olsen Twins' movies lol

    People curse with their kids, smash beer cans on their heads with their kids...



    When I did smoke, I never did so in front of children because of second hand smoke as much as not wanting to not be a bad influence.

    The PC crowd needs to worry about their own sorry butts. Last time I checked it is legal to smoke in the United States. Next they will be worrying if she farts in public.
    A lot of celebs still smoke, How about telling Charlie Sheen not to light up and see what happens.

    In a free civil society it is no ones business but their own.

    The air has never been perfect as the utopian dreamers like to pretend but they will use any excuse under the sun to try and control the lives of others. And I guess it won't be until we have another few hundred million or billion dead from political collectivism that some of the sorry over coddled survivors in this disconnected generation of dolts and meddlers finally wises up and learns its own bloody lesson from nature.

    mary kate is an adult. His daughter is a child. For Mary Kate to be smoking in from of her is the same as any other adult to be smoking in front of her. Mary Kate looks like a fall down mess though.

    Most parents smoke in front of their kids, strangers smoke in front of kids. It isn't that big of a deal. IF he asked her not to smoke around his daughter then I would hope she would respect that.

    My dad smokes in front of me, my mom used to smoke in front of me, my brother smokes in front of me. Both me and my sister have never had a single cigarette.

    My parents never smoked and then I did, so Your point is well taken, but it is not good that they all smoked around you, you can still get cancer from the second hand smoke.

    I am not sure about what kind of influence it is, but it sure aint class and it is certainly not healthy.
