Mary-Kate Olsen Smokes in Front of Boyfriend’s Daughter: Bad Role Model, or No Big Deal?

I remember my Dad and friends of my parents smoking and it didn't hurt me.

How do you know it wasn't Ashley? I can never tell those two apart.

I don't smoke and I was exposed to it my whole life. He needs to tell his daughter, "This is Mary-Kate Olsen, she smokes and that is a bad habit but she played Michelle Tanner on "Full House" and she is worth about 100 million dollars and someday she maybe your new mommy."

I don't think it's that much of a big deal, honestly. I can see that Mary Kate should be like a mother figure infront of his daughter, but his daughter should be taking care of by her own father, not Mary Kate. As I do know, parents (or parent figures)'s smoking acts are taken up by children and teen, but not always. Smoking is not a big deal, and Mary Kate has the freedom to do what she wants. Now, I would wanna throw in, why does the girl's father think it's okay for his daughter to be around a smoker, such as Mary Kate. SHE is under her Father's care, and Mary Kate is to be like a mother figure. If her father raises his daughter to be a mature non-smoking woman, good for him. Smoking is worldwide and almost considered normal. Now, if Mary Kate were smoking hash or Marijuana or any other forms of drugs, I would think far more differently, but cigarettes arent THAT much of a problem. Basically, the daughter should be under her Father's care, not Mary Kate.

Gosh! Is the guy incredibly huge or is she really that tiny? I never used to notice.

He appears to be taller than average but Mary-Kate must be really short because his young daughter is already taller than her.

My grandma used to smoke around me all the time....I didn't turn into a smoker.

She shows a lack of respet for little girl. And second hand smoke is not healthy for the kid either.

I don't care that she's smoking, the fact that she's young enough to be his daughter is what I'm concerned about...

I personally wouldn't allow it But if he has no problem with it and the mother knows and doesn't care then who's business is it but their own?

Even when I smoked I didn't do it around my son and don't allow people too do it around him. (I quit in the end of December too early January)

umm a lot of people smoke? So? You are the girlfriend of the girl's father! A very important aspect in her life, so you have to be the role model. People aren't stupid, they pay attention to what the people that they most care about do. Plus Mary Kate is a celebrity!

Not a big deal. Some people like smoking. Some people like 64 oz. "Big Gulp" drinks. Live and let live.

Not to mention the kid will have greater stamina.

Brother.......not everyone thinks tobacco stinks, (I'll bet sugar daddy likes his cigars,) and not every smoker smokes so much that they destroy their respiratory system and collapse into a wheezing pile of tar!

It's no big deal. We all know smoking is bad and people still do it, they don't care who's watching. It happens all the time, a lot of parents smoke or let friends smoke in front of their children. Most children don't care, they know it's not for them.

Then again, some kids decide that it might be for them. Some try it and hate it. Some try it and like it. So be it....everyone likes different things. Live and let live.

She looks like a piece of work. Something tells me the girls mother has other concerns as well with that relationship. I find it amusing though that they are the same size.
