Marijuana. Is it truly medicinal?

It was given to the human race by God. It grows naturally like any other herb, and many herbs are medicinal in nature. I believe it to be medicinal, and should be legal to have a prescription for in every state.

...and it gets some people high. The idea that a government can make the smoking of a weed as common as marijuana illegal shows how profoundly ignorant we've been...and we even had Prohibition as an example from which to learn.

Yes. I know people who use it for medicinal reasons and it truly helps them. They do not just sit around all day smoking and chilling they have a job to go to and the marijuana helps them maintain their body so they can work well.

I believe it may have medicinal properties but fail to find validity in the concept that one can only real the benefits by "smoking" it.

As you say, many herbs are medicinal in nature; but I only see them in pill form in the store

I agree, but smoking it is the "cool" one (and the only one many advocates push).

In fact smoking it is the most harmful way to use it. Breathing smoke is not healthy.

But that is true with alcohol, hardcore drugs, and even other prescription drugs as well. It is unfortunate, but that is human nature.
