I think it is cool after a long time to renew your vows. I don't think it needs to be a big publicity stunt though.

A couple I know through work just renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary. It was very sweet.

I think, in general, it's romantic, but Hollywood has a way of taking marriage and romance and making it seem cheap. In Carey and Cannon's case, I'm not sure about the value of renewal.

Doing it on milestone anniversaries are Great, but every year or every two years or so Are Not Romantic!

All the vows I've heard have had an official expiration date of "upon death."
Seeing as how they're both still living, renewing is unnecessary.
It's a marriage license, not a driver's license.

Waste of money.. They are probably gonna sell the pics to the paparazzi.

If my wife is still wondering if I love her or not, then I am doing something wrong.. Renewing our vows won't solve that.

YES. renewing vows could be romantic if it like in a really neat place, like on a beach, on a boat, or somewhere really neat.....maybe one day ill get married again, to enjoy the experience of it all! 2012.
