The manual stick shift is vanishing in America. These days, it is very hard to find a decent car with a manual transmission. In 1980, J.D. Powers and Associates estimates that more than 35% of all cars sold had a stick shift. By 2005, that number had dropped to 6%. Four years later, finding a car with a manual transmission is a big challenge. If you have drove a car with a stick shift... you can testify how much fun driving is.

Do they REALLY make anything LIKE what these people are talking about... or did they get outwitted by a slick salesman, who sold'em on the false idea that they'd be grindin' gears like Mario Andretti?

Hmmm... you do make a good case for the sport mode transmissions... I really should test them out some day here... who knows! I might be a believer...
Id be curious to see how many accidents involve people driving automatics compared to manuals.
