Man Urinates While Sleepwalking, Then Stabbed: Would you stay with someone who stabbed you?

A 24 year old in Kansas City was urinating in his closet while sleepwalking. The mans girlfriend tried to wake him, but to no avail. Then, when the sleepwalker continued to wander around the apartment, he pushed his girlfriend. He had intoxicated earlier and the girlfriend was afraid he might hit her... so she grabbed a kitchen knife. The sleepwalking boyfriend approached the girlfriend, and she stabbed him twice: once in the face and once in the shoulder. Luckily, the wounds were not life threatening.

Yes. Under these circumstances I might stay even after being stabbed while sleepwalking.

    Hitting him with a shoe would have been better than stabbing, especially in the face with a kitchen knife. It looks like she was trying to do more than wake him.

    It's more likely he was "stupor walking" I heard about one
    of my sisters boyfriends who urinated on a rather large,
    older, calculator that was on the living room floor while
    he was in a drunken stupor. I'm talking back in the 60's.
    We didn't have the tiny, electronic calc's that are
    around today.

    this is not unheard of people doing things while being totally alseep... it can be harmful to all and should be medically adddressed and monitored

    I can see sleepwalking, I can see urinating in closets, I can even see stabbing the drunk guy, but I have a hard time with all 3 at the same time.

    That was a little uncalled for to stab him. My husband gets drunk and pees in stupid places I wake him and call him names and get him to clean up his mess. I wouldn't stab him. If he came at me I'd call the cops.

    There are so few cases of homicide while sleepwalking. Any smart person should know that and should know not to stab them since they're not in any real danger.

    wow that is insanity right there, but if the guy was sleepwalking and stabbed me then i would get over it but if he was awake. F***k that i'm out the door with in a second and then i would go to my neighbors and call the cops.

    Is she insane? I don't care if she thought he was going to hit her, wouldn't it have been easier to get a bucket of ice water and thrown it at him? I hope she was arrested cause there's no way that was self defense.
