Twenty-year reunions stir up a lot of old memories... and sometimes some very bad ones. A man in Georgia posted threats on his Facebook reunion page claiming he would get even with those who bullied him in high school. Police said Jason Moss threatened to kill his classmates at the reunion. Police say Mr. Moss claimed he avoided his graduation ceremony because he "would have started the Columbine shootings early."

People who pose a real threat wont ever tell you that they're coming; they just show up one day...

Exactly, I was just reading about that in a book.

"Threats are rarely spoken from a position of power. Most often they represent desperation, not intention."

"How one responds to a threat determines whether it will be a valuable instrument or mere words. Thus, it is the listener and not the speaker who decides how powerful a threat will be"
(Becker "The Gift of Fear" pg 109).

When someone really wants to make good on a threat, they rarely make the overt threat to begin with because doing so could possibly cause them to lose an opportunity to strike. Verbal threats from afar are, usually, empty.

This guy committed a lesser crime by making threats and, therefore, foiled his own potential revenge. (thank goodness) However, I believe he wouldn't have actually gone to the reunion. Instead of showing up and making good on his threats, I think he would have stayed home, feeling like a loser. (like his graduation) He obviously didn't think this whole thing through.

My sympathies are with him, despite his actions, because bullies do real and lasting damage.

Yes but some of the most famous have been bullied. So people can go through this and lead a normal life. But we need to understand the difference between bullying and crime like rape , perpetuated voilence resulting in physical loss , molestation while the psychological responsibilty of bullying is as expected by the society of the bullied.

You said, "the psychological responsibilty of bullying is as expected by the society of the bullied"

And I say; What society accepts and what is wrong are sometimes one in the same.

Some people who get bullied are not mentally stable.

As with SodaHJead I do NOT post my information. The only threat I would receive on FaceBook is from family or family friends.

I do think anyone threatening or whatever on ANY site is too stupid for their own good.
I do not accept requests unless I know them personally on FaceBook.

You can never be too careful. It's easy to assume that people online are harmless, but people have more ways of finding out information than you know. People need to be aware of that.
