absolutely! When a limited amount of vaccine is initially available those at highest risk of Contracting the disease and/or having the most serious Consquences bum disease should be Vaccinated first. As a nurse I Know those most Vulnerable and those who come in contact with the most vulnerable population NEED to be irocculated first to help stem the spread of the epidemic. With H1N1 this Most vulnerable population is the children as the elderly seem to have an immunity. thiis Means not only should first responders and other healthcare workers in addition to the targeted population should have priority in recieving the vaccine. but those in frequent Contact With children like teachers ......and Santa in order to try and prevent the spread Of the disease. As Most healthy adults are not at rsk for serious adverse effects from this particular Virus this would be An intervention to protect the children much more so than to just protect Santa. As it is, this measure alone would help only a little. Vaccinating our children is the primary prevention measure that needs be implicated. One infected child could still leave the Virus on ol Santa So he had better Keep some disinfectant and lots Of Sanitizer around too. what really infuriates me are ignorant parents who think they won...

One infected child could still leave the Virus on ol Santa So he had better Keep some disinfectant and lots Of Sanitizer around too. what really infuriates me are ignorant parents who think they won'I get their child Vaccinate for "fear of the risks" (which are pretty much non- existant with a non-live Vaccine and even With most live Vaccines Are far less risky that the disease itself ) and don't bother to educate themselves plus spread the misinformation to others who prefer to believe this over the medical evidence And then more children are possibly not Vaccinated putting more children at risk ...and then these parents have the have to say "anyways. if everyone else gets Vaccinated I won't have to worry!"
As long at the children and immunocompromised get the first priority, I have no problem with those who come in frequent Contact with the at nsk population being the next priorit

One kid infects Santa, Santa infects 100 kids.

    Santa needs a body condom.

Have you considered the other reason for them to get the shot is so they will not pass the virus on to the kids?

I would rather have them get the shot so when my kids sit on their lap they don't come home with it over the holidays, than to have them not get it and spread it faster and faster.

Not before anyone else. Santa's getting the vaccine is good idea. They can get sick and pass it to others before they know they are sick. That is how viruses work.

Absolutely makes sense. Maybe not before anyone else, but they should definitely get some priority. They're not getting paid to accept diseases!

They should get it, they handle kids all day and could potentially spread the virus around. I mean, how nice of a Christmas present is that? Santa gives you the swine flu? Not cool!

This is a no-brainer. Their employers ought to have all vaccinated before starting work, esppecially with the XMAS season around the corner.

I think everyone who wants the vaccine should get one. That being said...the Santa's DO handle children all day long. They're the most susceptible to passing on the disease - vaccinate them first.
