He's considered one of the "prettiest" models ... and he's a guy. Serbian-Australian modeling sensation Andrej Pejic -- who admits that straight guys often (unknowingly) hit on him, took his catwalk career to the next level this week as he appeared in a runway show featuring bridal gowns, The Daily Mail reports.

The 20-year-old androgynous model opened the show for Rosa Clara at Barcelona Bridal Week 2012 in a gown that many women would kill for -- and looking as beautiful as a spring bride on her big day. Last year, he appeared on the cover of Out magazine wearing a bridal veil and flowers in his hair. Pejic also models as a male.

"He's just this beautiful thing that everyone wants a piece of," says stylist Ken Anderson, according to the Mail. The blonde and blue-eyed runway star has also modeled for Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. Do you think it's cool that a male model can pull off a wedding gown? Or totally bizarre?

It's not that hard. People take pictures of models who aren't really that thin and then edit the crap out of them to make them look underweight. And then people believe the fakes and use them in arguments about fashion/modeling.

I know how to photoshop. But I don't believe that they all are is what I'm saying. There really are girls this thin, who have been turned down by modeling agencies because they are too thin.

Both of these models died from anorexia: First one is Ana Carolina Reston & second one is Eliana Ramos. Her sister Luisel Ramos - also model - also died from anorexia. You can find their death stories online.
There are rules for models in many countries that make models starve almost to death.
In my country runway model suppose to be 100-110 pounds & measurements:
B: 31-34"
W: 22-24"
H: 31-35"
When I tried to become a model in my teen years - agency told me to loose 5-10 pounds even if I was 33-23-35, but my weight was 115, it was 5 pounds "overweight" & they prefered if I loose 10 pounds.

That's what I thought. That these were really models. Not a photoshop job. I'm glad that modeling agencies have come around to this kind of thing. I would hope that not just telling these women that they are too thin, but trying to help them with their illness. That is so tragic.

I hope it's different now in my country, but 12 years ago agencies wanted girls to get even thinner.
I see some countries making better rules & have "too thin" category. )

I'm not hating on him personally, but it bothers me that the fashion industry is so obsessed with a stick-straight, impossibly tall figure that they're resorting to using men to model women's clothing. It also bothers me when they use 14-year-old girls to model adult women's clothing. Might as well put it on a kangaroo. If you can't find a model who fits the gender and age demographic the clothing is made for who also meets your physical standards, then perhaps it's time to change your standards. I'm not calling for overweight models, I just think it makes sense to have your models somewhat represent the people the cloths are made for.

He/she is really pretty. I'm jealous, but I see no reason why that's weird. I'm desensitized though. My best friend's boyfriend is androgynous and I've seen a lot of drag in my lifetime so I don't see it from the outside.
