I apologize to you Georgians in advance, but I lived in Atlanta for 3 1/2 LONG years. I hated every minute of every day I was there. It was so miserable. I have never lived in LA so I don't know. I have been there, and it is rather too big and noisy for me. But it can't possibly be as bad as Atlanta. The happiest day of my life was when I left there forever.
It's really difficult to compare these two cities. I'm definitely more of an L.A. person. My uncle lived in Atlanta most of his life. I visited him often. It's a pretty place, but not for me. I like the weather and the beaches much better here. if you want to travel to the mountains to ski, its here. We are a short distance to Vegas, San Francisco, Palm Springs, San Diego and Santa Barbara, all great places to visit outside of the city. Los Angeles has an electric buzz of excitement in the air. I've lived here for almost six years now, some evenings when I'm headed out on the town or watching a concert at the Hollywood Bowl I reflect on how much I love this city.
i really only been to Los Angeles because i was in Atlanta for changing planes. so i only was in the airport. LA is awesome and the 2nd largest city in the USA.
It's obvious you're talking about gay marriage. You have every right to live where you want to. So it really shouldnt matter to you. I'm sure your podunk town wouldnt recognize the CA gay marriage anyway.
But truth be known, I'm much more a high desert and mountains kinda guy... Rocky mountian high baby....
