I actually know some CEOs on that list and don't know how they made this list as i know for SURE 4 of them absolutely and positively do not support gay anything. I am not going to say which ones as it is up to them to either defend themselves or leave it alone. No one is ever going to boycott movies and a huge % support gays in everything..ya?

They can support anything they want. I really don't care. If they have something I want to purchase, I'll purchase it. But if they want a war, they may just get one.

I'm not going to stop patronizing them. I'm not like the Liberals calling for a boycott.

Yeah, I still don't care, I don't care what they decide to do with their money, I'm just concerned with getting the product I'm seeking from them. Now it just so happens I don't support, or rather use or purchase from, most these companies anymore but that's simply because going by what I get from them I find their competition usually does a better job. Not with every single solitary one of them of course, but it's like I hardly buy Applebee's anymore, because I prefer Texas Roadhouse. Or I don't shop at Amazon much anymore because I can get what I want cheaper at RightStuf.

But, hey, I chalk that up to coincidence more than anything. That being said, the fact they support this doesn't matter to me. What just bugs me is when they try to create controversy over it, much like Chick-fil-a and J.C. Penny's did, just so they can generate more business. I occasionally shop at Penny's, but I'm broke so i hardly do. But with Chick-fil-a I'm not exactly breaking the bank so I'm still gonna go there more often, because I like their chicken, even if I hated the controversy stunt. Their chicken is just too damn good for me.

Long story short, what a company spends their money on doesn't matter to me, so long as it's not going to something killing people or enslaving people or something horrible like that then I say spend your money on whatever you want. I'm just there to get the product they personally provide. When they do with the money I gave them is their choice.

It's funny that so many anti-gay supporters think that buying Chik-Fil-A will make a difference when it's almost impossible not to support all of these businesses and organizations!

Chick-fil-A was called "controversial" by the media for opposing "gay marriage."

How many of the companies on this list were ever called "controversial" for supporting it?

When a company revealed through the media about supporting gay marriage, a lot of the "traditional marriage" crowd refuse to buy their products in response.

I think it's funny that when Oreo put up that picture for pride week a while back the "traditional marriage" people complained and many decided to stop buying Oreo cookies and I didn't hear an outrage about Oreo's "freedom of speech", but when Chick-fil-a says they support traditional marriage and the people who are offended by this decide to stop buying food from Chick-fil-a, people are outraged about it. :P

Personally, I'm fine with anyone not shopping somewhere because they disagree with the political stance of a company, no matter what the stance is. If you're going to release that you are for or against gay marriage, you need to be prepared for outrage of one community or the other. If you can't handle it, don't say anything and allow it to just be your personal view. People need to realize that while you are free to say whatever you may please, you aren't free from the consequences of what you say-- especially if you're some sort of public figure.

RIGHT?!?!?! And the thing with that is that Oreo isn't harming anyone by expressing that opinion. But Chick-Fil-A is donating millions to anti-gay marriage organizations that solely work towards preventing it. It's not a freedom of speech issue with Chick-Fil-A. The people who have done their research and chose not to eat there know that...

We don't have them here but I wouldn't either. It's one thing for the guy to have his personal opinion but making it the official opinion of the company and using company proceeds to support that hate? Terrible..

A sad freckin' state when one decides to patronize or not patronize an establishment or business based upon the personal beliefs of the board of directors. Life must truly be good if that is the greatest thing in the world to worry about, from which ever side of the political, secular, or sexual spectrum one may be.
