I know about that group. I never criticize anyone's beliefs. But I will tell you that I would never be part of that. It can really turn out all wrong with certain things that people do to others that can come back to them. But understand, that is me. And you are you. So I won't tell you what to do.

Right below me is a christian saying he doesn't believe in the whole bible. There's a point where one has to use common sense. It's a book written by humans; humans who can have no knowledge of a god except through faith. How would me putting ink on paper help prove something with no evidence to begin with?

If I wait 2,000 years, will that make it more valid or something?

Because there isn't any concrete, scientific proof of God- or any other deity, for that matter- so they use the Bible as proof.

True the bible can't to my opinion be taken as a historical document it was created by putting together several different peoples writings. Has been translated over and over, that being said some parts have proved to historicaly accurate. Over all I can't see how the bible could be proof of God, that is a journey that has to be taken on a personal level.

I don't know if you can be at all surprised by this. Just this year alone, it was necessary for the C.D.C. had to inform the population that there is no evidence that Zombies exist. And Just last week Society had to be told that mermaids do not exist, because a bunch of people watched something on discovery, and couldn't differ between reality and fantasy.

Probably the same reason atheists say evolution in the animal kingdom is proof there is no god. People tend to make convient leaps of reasoning when it suits their purposes.

If the whole world was acting on sheer logic and reason, the whole world would be agnostics, but emotion has a stronger appeal than logic to many people.
