Legislation protects employees from bullying through policies against discrimination, sexual harassment, and hostile work environments. Should these policies be extended to our schools?

Most schools will respond if you tell your teacher or the principal. Your child has to think that it is cool to tell someone. The problem in a lot of cases is that bullied reason does not want to appear as a weakling, so, the bullying continues until someone is hurt.
I won one of these situations when I was 8 yeast old. I had braces on my teeth. In those days they were made of stainless steel. One kid tried to punch me for no reason. I smiled and he cut his knuckles on my braces. He never bothered me again.

HERE'S THE CATCH! No matter WHAT "protection" you are told is guaranteed by our government, it is not guaranteed AT ALL. "Protection", only covers those deemed "credible" and deserving of it, and that depends on who judges your worthiness.
I used to work for the largest government funded scientific laboratory is the west. I filed a sexual harassment claim against a black man, who literally threatened to hurt my kids if I kept telling him to leave me alone. They did their "investigation", and ruled that I was lying, as none of my WITNESSES backed my claim. I found out later they didn't, because they too were afraid of this guy. AND, because he was black and I'm not, they also feared he would file discrimination suit.

There ALREADY IS protection against harassment in any and all schools, all parents are given this paperwork when the kids start school. If you don't have them, go to your state website and look them up, or call the school administration office. AGAIN, without credible WITNESSES, you will not be protected by any laws. Let's NOT rally up support for any more expensive useless laws that most likely don't work anyway. I see more people on cell phones while driving now, than before the law was passed banning it. Laws are useless without people willing to enforce them.

Just let the schools write their own policies and stop adding so many laws!
