Ladies, would you forgive a man who hit you and take him back?

No one should man or woman....

But I have in the past. Ladies..if he hits you once he will do again Maybe if YOU left him for hitting you, he may learn from it and not hit others.

Now I tend to end relationships that show any sign, no matter how tiny of potential abuse, even emotional abuse.

The only reason he should be hitting me, is if I threw the first punch. And he should leave me if I and hitting him.

Any other reason for him laying hands on me is completely unacceptable and unforgivable.

No. It's easy to make that assumption, but it's not true. They tolerate it because they've become convinced that they deserve it, and that there is no way to get away from their abuser. And, in truth, most women killed by BF's/Husbands are killed when they are trying to escape them.

That all may be true. But what I have also found out through my own experience
( yes and guys have also been abused as well ) is that in some cases we seem to be attracted to a certain type of person. Some women are attracted to "bad boys." Well what makes them think that they're not going to be bad to them? I was [for some reason] attracted to control freaks. And when a control freak can no longer control you they freak way out, I mean like unglued type freak out, I mean like someone needs some really heavy meds type freak out.

You can be attracted to bad boys all you want, my DH is a perfect example of a very bad boy but he's still a damn good man. I've never for one moment worried about my personal safety at his hands...no matter HOW pi$$ed off I've gotten him.

Being addicted to control freaks, didn't think you were capable of making your own decisions and decided that if you placed your life in someone else's hands than it would be all their fault? That's codependency 101.

If I were married to an account why would I be the one to control the money? One someone can take a penny and make it into dollars, that is beyond my realm of expertise. However when that some person is trying to tell my things that are well beyond their realm of expertise, totally clueless like what my particular business is, and they are not able to control the situation, they freak. Being attracted to a control freak doesn't necessarily mean that I am dependent totally on that person. And what did I say that would give you the impression that I would place my life in the hands of someone else? A "Bad Boy" isn't just a persona, it is the real deal. A "bad boy" is really and truly a bad person and not some weird poser that wants people to believe that they are bad, that is just a joke. Like the weekend warrior type.

I hope you are joking or being ironic. I put up with it for years..not because I liked it but because I hoped he would change, I felt all alone, I wanted a father for my kids, a part of me thought I was worthless and that I deserved it...and then when it was getting to where I couldn't take it anymore, he said if I left him he would take away our daughter.

She is such a bad role model. I told my 13 year old daughter she's not allowed to listen to her anymore.

She really is... Her songs are catchy though so I don't think there's any harm in allowing your children to listen to them!

I don't want her to be a fan, sorry. I went through abuse..that's bad influence enough, I don't need some stranger influencing her into believing that staying with abusive men is ok.

I've been with some women who were abusive and I'm glad to be free of them. The lady I'm married to now is far better than I ever thought that I'd find. Thirteen years together and she has NEVER tried to hurt me, hitting or otherwise. I'm happy to say that I've done just as well.

Don't put up with guys who beat on you. They don't deserve it.

Good men are out there but you are not going to find them living with a creep.

depends on the situation. If he smacks you in the butt while having fun, then it's not abuse. Slapping or punching would be a totally different story.
