In 2012, it almost seems like an outdated question, but we're still curious: Do you kiss on the first date? A writer for Glamour recently blogged that no one has tried to kiss her since she moved to the Midwest. "In my dating days back in New York City, I literally never went on a date where the guy didn't at least try to stick his tongue down my throat," she writes.

But How About We doesn't think a first date kiss is a must. "I've always been of the belief that if it’s a blind date or an online date, you can take things a bit slower. It’s a little different than going on a date with someone you’ve already met -- you’re feeling each other out, and often it’s the second date that starts to feel more date-y," she writes.

"On the other hand, one of my guy friends once said to me, with utter conviction, that if he doesn’t kiss a girl on the first date it means he’s not interested. And when I think back on my own romantic history, I’ve never had a first date lead to a second date if there wasn’t kissing involved." We'd have to agree that in our best relationships, the kiss happened way early. How about you?

If I like her, I'll walk her to the front door and I'll kiss her goodnight. If I'm not interested anymore, I'll probably say goodbye in the car.

Ha, on our first date My wife pretty much was not going to take no for an answer !!! She came here from Colombia to find her dream guy and SHE decided I was him !! We went waaaaaay beyond a kiss on our first date ! At dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in Hollywood Fl Mam Mia's while we were eating or appatizer and a glass of wine My youngest Daughter and her future Husband walked buy and she came in and said hello !!
It was their first date also and she took Daddies hint and they moved on !!!!

a woman who is as agressive as she is beautiful. You lucky dog. Otherwise it is usually better to be a gentleman, be paicent, and wait a few dates. You might turn out to still be

question for cheight... how do you know if you're compatible with someone if you don't experiment?... not necessarily saying everyone should go around acting like rabbits, but still, a little bit of knowledge is a good thing especially when you are considering spending your life with someone

It's 2012 now. There is nothing wrong with that unless it's a blind date and you have never met the date before. But if it is someone you know, definitely a kiss on the first date is acceptable. Hell, some first dates lead to screwing that same night. Now I don't know about that but kissing to me is acceptable.
