Kim Kardashian's Wedding Has a Dress Code: Reasonable or Ridiculous?

It's perfectly acceptable to ask your wedding guests to wear jackets and ties, or even formal attire.

But Kim Kardashian, of course, is taking it one step further.

If you are lucky enough (meaning rich, good-looking and important enough) to be attending Kardashian's wedding on Saturday, you must wear black or white, etidbits.com reports.

What is this, one of P. Diddy's parties circa 1999?

"Kim knows better than anyone how to stay dramatic and there is no way she would let herself blend in with everyone else at her wedding by wearing a white dress," a source said. "If I know her, I bet she will wear red or some color so she pops against everyone else who will be in black or white."

We do know she will be wearing Vera Wang, and the bridesmaids will be wearing green. The color theme of the wedding will reportedly be silver, white, and black, and "thousands" of South African roses are said to have been ordered to decorate the California venue.

Not important enough to make it to the big event? You can catch it on E! on Sunday, October 9 and Monday, October 10. And you can wear whatever you want.

    1. I STILL do not have a clue why she's so famous.
    2. It's her wedding. She can do whatever the hell she wants.

It's her wedding, that's her theme, and the dress code is not that unreasonable (black and white is pretty easy and simple).

That's really not that bad. I mean, it's not like she demanded to pick out every one of her guests' attire. She wants her wedding to be coordinated and special, there's nothing wrong with that.

It's alright as long they don't all have to arrive in black or white cars. If that's the case they will have to all use limousines or have a break down in the parking lot. I suppose a lot full of Porsches is a nightmare in itself?

It's a fancy wedding. Would you want someone showing up in work jeans covered in muck at your wedding? That seems a bit insulting to have someone do that....

Have you seen what people will wear - absolutely appropriate and reasonable to establish a dress code for an event.

Most weddings have a dress code. Nothing unusual about it. There are many legitimate things to criticize her about. A dress code for her wedding is not one of them.

I don't know much about this Kardashian chick, and her getting married will not effect my life in the least, but it IS her wedding, and she should be allowed to have a dress code if she wants one.

I feel that if you can do something different and memorable at your wedding it is up to the Bride and the Groom. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

It is her special day. It would be cool with me as long as she doesn't make the clothing too outlandish, expensive, or too hard to find.

Not sure who Kim Kardashian is (yes, I've seen the name but I honestly have no idea why her name keeps popping up!) but I think it's perfectly reasonable to have a dress code. If you don't wish to comply don't attend the wedding.

C'mon, I can fault her for a lot of things but this is nothing to get pissy over. So she wants everyone to wear black and white, so what, big whoop, wanna fight about it?? It's not like she's asking for everyone to come with a severed head and no clothes on. Deal with it, people. It's her wedding.

Who does this skank think she is, telling people what to wear for her wedding? I thought for weddings, only the bride was supposed to wear white. Knowing her, she'll probably show up naked or in a bikini.

It's her wedding. If she was a very close friend I would attend. If she was not so much a friend, if I had the right outfit I would go, but I would never buy something new to go. If I didn't have the right clothes I wouldn't go.

Yes, those colors are really basic. Not like she is asking for a certain material, style or pattern. Most people have clothes in those colors.

Yeah, I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal. I've been to certain weddings where they had themes, like Under The Sea... That was awkward...

It's only reasonable to me because I'm not going. But if you think about it, it would make for really good photography - the bride and her party, a splash of color against a background of black and white clothed people...

What colors for the hollywood divorce proceedings?
Oh.....that might be premature, they have to be married for at least a month, right?

I wonder if Kris Jenner will want to make money off of the consemation?
