Think you've got a great fake bake going on, "tanning mom"? Kim Kardashian thinks she can do you one better. Kardashian posted a photo of herself looking VERY tan to Twitter on Saturday, with the caption: "The tannerexic mom has some serious competition!!! LOL." Later, she backtracked a bit: "Relax that's just a spray tan!!!" she wrote in a subsequent tweet. "It washed off & I'm back to my normal tan self! But how crazy does it look after being on for 8 hours!"

New Jersey mom Patricia Krentcil allegedly took her 6-year-old daughter into a tanning booth, causing skin burns. Krentcil, who faces a second-degree child endangerment charge, pleaded not guilty in Newark Municipal Court; she's now free on a $2,500 cash bond.

Meanwhile, "Octomom" Nadya Suleman -- who is normally receiving parenting criticism, not giving it -- told TMZ: "I would never even fathom (taking a child tanning. That's unfathomable to me. You're teaching (her) to define your worth by your reflection in the mirror. I don't do that. [Child Protective Services] should definitely go to her house, and they should mandate parenting classes for her, for sure." We're not sure if Suleman is one to talk (she recently starred in a solo adult film in order to earn money to support her 14 children, The Daily News reports.

Many cosmetic products are tested on rabbits. They shave off a portion of the rabbit's fur and leave the product on there for hours. It often causes horrific skin burns.

You know, I actually thought that I had found another animal lover who I could come to common ground with. But it turns out not. You're just another person looking to argue and try to make others believe you are some sort of holier than thou savior for what you are preaching.

FYI my hair dye is VEGAN and I go OUT OF MY WAY to buy products that are NOT tested on animals anywhere along the way in their production. Everything I put on my face is ANTI-cruelty approved. But good job making yourself look like an ass. I buy all my cosmetics from VEGAN companies that do not test on animals.

Having a spray tan does not reflect anything on the inside except maybe insecurity, not vanity. To say that is very shallow.

I for one like having a tan, I feel good when I do, and I hate the way I look. Tans, makeup, hair dye, and clothes don't make someone vain. Vanity is something inside that is ugly, NOT something on the outside which is presumed attractive.

I've got a MARVELOUS idea, how about, we all stop giving Kim Kardashian all the attention she, her mother and promoters want, and just ignore her? Than, we won't have ridiculous stories about her and her attention whore family clogging up the headlights.
